You don't have to flash a radio to do a Task 29, I made one up that flashes a blank splashscreen, much faster than flashing a radio. Here's the link to where I posted it:

That is correct, install the ROM and existing radio will stay.

For now I will say you dont need to use the task29 tool. Just flash a custom rom and keep the radio you already have.

Here is some videos that might give you a higher comfort level regarding Flashing ROMs.

I agree with you Darren. Noticed my memory creeped up to 82%. closed everything out, even cleaned memory but only went down to 78%.
I soft reset last night before bed and it is holding at 68% but i haven't even used it yet.

i got the mem leak too. starts off in the low 60s then creeps up to high 70s-low 80s, even after ramsweep or clearram it still stays at around 76%

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.7 (WindowsMobile; PPC; Opera Mobi/35267; U; en; Presto/2.1.1))

darren you are not the only one seeing the memory leak.

Me too, never dips below ~78-80% after I've run a few apps. Close everything, run cleanRAM and it winds up back there in just a few goes in between tabs or token apps.

Also had it close apps after seeing the mem hit about 85% (running touchtwit and hitting a link, thus opening Opera, a couple times touchtwit wound up closing).
