It was never checked in the settings to be the default, that is why I am clueless.

I tried everything from your PM and no go. I have never seen this. I always knew to set IE as default to eliminate the issue with weather watcher and a few other programs I use. You can test this by setting IE as default and soft resetting. It will ask you when you open it the next time to make it default. This is a problem with the rom I am guessing as I have never had this issue and been using the same setup for every rom I use.

Really a shame because other than this issue the rom for me works perfectly.

Manila is setting Opera as the default browser. Please give me the web address of sited you find do not work in opera and i will test.

Just DL and my start menu icons look like the old ones...Did i miss something?

Thats the point, I need IE as default for a few programs to work correctly. Its not a website address issue.

What applications require IE? so i can look into this.

Here is the thing. I went into opera settings and unchecked make default browser. went into IE and set "notify me if not the default browser"

then i rebooted. once rebooted i opened a link from an email and it opens in IE. So tell me what apps your using so i can test further.

what do you mean?

if the rom is dated feb 16th 2010 then the start is organized as per the images in the first post.

Weather watcher, here is the cab.

In every rom I have used, I always have to set IE as default so the font in this program looks normal and not huge. On some of the tabs the text is so big it doesnt even fit on the screen. When its working right, you will notice a difference.

You will have to add a city, etc to get weather results.

IE seems to be my default browser from the internet tab as well now. So im sure manila is setting Opera as your default until you set it off in opera its self.

I dl ROM from first post 30 minutes ago and i am saying it has the old start menu..."Get it HERE" is what i clicked...i just saying.
