Re: {ROM}{23540/6.5.5}{2/22}Formula's SPB MobileSense 3.5.3 & Titanium Only

I really want to use this ROM (Sprint V1 23540 Build), looks great and is loaded with a lot of my favorite apps, but I had major issues with trying to run it.

1. Locked up after running "MyPhone" the first time. I figured it was because it was trying to sync almost 1000 txt messages. So I hard reset, ran it again, only syncing contacts...same result.

2. Then I got an error mentioning a .net error? Phone completely stopped responding (no I didn't get a chance to install anything yet, not sure what triggered it)

3. Three hard resets later...finally got to the point where i had my contacts, but no matter what i did, Mobile Shell was instable. Three hard resets later....

4. I used titanium only (looks great too!), couldn't use dotFred's task manager to load my email xml scripts...caused the phone to lock up...lead to another series of hard resets.

5. Finally gave up on anything email related and finished out my day with just texting and calling. Everything was good until someone sent me a picture message...couldn't open it. If I tried to view it, the text app would close and take me back to titanium.

Unfortunately as good as this ROM seems, it just isn't working for me so I am going back to JD's ROM. Anyone else having this problem? Could it just be my hardware? -s

What happens if you dont synch the myphone? I have heard of lots of problems with moving from rom to rom doing that. This rom works perfectly after a flashdance and a regular synch to outlook.

picture messages go inline with whatever person (in their thread) of regular messages. You can click and view the image from there. Sprint rom out of the box.

I would have to say you definately had a bad flash, i would suggest the flashing to stock performing a clear storage, then flashing my rom. Something i have always done too is before flashing power off, remove the battery for 10+ seconds, replace battery and put right into bootloader by holding the vol down key and the power button at the same time till the tri-color screen appears then hookup usb and flash away, give it a shot. There have been many others that have flashed and no one has had these problems.

I haven't used my phone in a long time synced over one thousand text, one hundred contacts, without a hiccup. Oh also posting this using the new enhanced keyboard I love it.

OK, i'm going to give it a shot, and I agree, it sounds like a bad flash for real. Never had so many random issues from flashing before. I'll post the outcome.

Thanks for the advice.

Great ROM...thank you for the excellent work. One question I have is does anyone have pandora runnign on this? I installed it but when i run it throws an error message. I used all the pandora cab with the fix and all. Pandora refuses to launch and will ask to abort, retry or ignore the message that pops up. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks again

Great Rom, about to flash to the new one. But before I do, is there a reg key that i can change so that when I view my pictures on my storage card or sending a picture that it sort them by date automatically? And also, is there a way to default the call recording to the storage card?

Thanks
