Jstine,
The VZW keyboard did not get provisioned (at least not correctly). Some of the function keys are not mapped correctly. The symbol and mail keys are correct.

Did it before in another rom? Should work this time, it's the same rom. I just added a few missing programs and made some visual changes.

Could be a couple of things. I haven't checked it fully since v3 but it could be that the old MightyMike file I used to set up the favorites key also provisioned the keyboard. When I removed all the non-favorites related things from the file, I could have deleted his keyboard provisioning. But when I first started flashing your ROM I would check all the keys before installing anything??? I'll try to research more tomorrow.

Some Prelim troubleshooting: I installed the verizon cab from v3.2 and the keyboard was mapped correctly. I then reset the phone via factory reset. I performed the Carrier Provisioning after a soft reset and again the keyboard was not provisioned correctly (e.g. FN "1" was mapped to "~" vice "!").

I'll try to do more troubleshooting soon.

do i still have too use the dust lock screen or can i go back to the windows lock screen which moves the lock to the bottom? and so far this rom is amazingly fast. keep up the great work. thank you jstine



p.s. i thought earlier you said this was gonna be 6.5.5. but when it boots it says 6.5.3. so........ which one is it? lol

After the VZW provisioning the "07FF" key in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME\Keyboard LayouFiles] was set to eT9.Rhodium.Sprint_WWE.kmap.txt

I set it to eT9.Rhodium.VERIZON_WWE.kmap.txt, soft reset and the Keyboard is mapped correctly.

I then took the verizon.cab and copied it to my computer. I extracted it and checked the xml file for the registry mod listed above. I didn't find one but, of course, it could be done in a compressed cab file.

Jstine, I have to say that you have definitley emerged from the pack as one of the premier chefs out there. This latest release is incredible. You build a ROM like I would if I had the time to do it. All the right features, even the Astronaut text messaging... I love that shit, usually cab it up. Keep it coming bro
