Re: 08/01/10 Update**VINdows Phone**(Sense 2016)

I would really like to know how to solve for this particular issue. That being, the "My Location" / GPS cross-hair icon in Phone Canvas / dialer goes from enabled (cross-hair) to disabled (strike-through) after a soft-reset.

Yes, you can obviously re-enable after every soft reset via CDMA settings, but I want it to stick ... I've seen it stick before and I want it stuck!

Cab up a fix for this (sticks the cross-hair to on even through a soft-reset) and you get all my thanks for a full week straight!

Best regards,
-boggsie

See my post above ... can you elaborate on how you managed this to stick through a soft-reset?

Re: 08/02/10 Update**VINdows Phone**(Sense 2016)

Okay so here is what happens for me. Been playing around with the OC. So I have been running it at 729 being that that was the most stable or seemed to be. Anything higher my phone would freeze up minutes after it booted. I have been successful at sleeping my device at 604mhz. Havent tried anything higher. Now the polling interval for me has to stay at or below 200. Anything higher freezes my device only minutes after booting. At 729 my phone does get hot while in use and has frozen on me 20 minutes into using the web. This happened on 2 occasions. I am now at 648 I believe and all seems good. Still fast and as responsive as 729. I have been on the web for about 10 minutes and my phone is barely getting warm. Bout the same as it normally would without OC. As far as battery, to my surprise it is about the same. No major difference in that area which is a good thing for me. For those running at mhz higher than 700 try to browse the web for long periods of time and see if U cant duplicate the constant freezing Im getting. So far with it at 648 with a throttle of 54x forgot the number and a polling of 200. It seems to be good for me. Hasnt locked up and phone is barely rising in temp. Just my findings with the OC. Still a great app to use and still my favorite OC. Not a fan of trying to OC 700 or above. Just my opinion.

It is carrier setting to enable CDMA phones to be tracked by cell-tower triangulation (spelling?).

So, care to share your *.reg, *.provxml & *.mscr settings that might relate to carrier to see how this is setup for you?

It looks like cmajewsk may have something for us. I don't know which keys/settings trigger the feature to stick.

Here, I pulled the reg entries out of my Auto Sashimi folder... hope it helps But what does having it set this way even do? I am still not getting the My Loc feature to work in Google Maps...
