Maybe at some point, but since there's no Task Manager that works 100% on those builds I prefer the 218XX builds personally. Showcase works as a TaskManager for the 6.5.X builds, but not 100% and can cause other issues. The X2 Manager works most of the time, but users seem to have issues launching it. The WM default Task Manager does work 100%, but has no close app with X button functionality. Overall the 218XX series are simply more stable in many aspects.

...just one question: How the heck (if possible) can I stop the "handsfree" activation thingy from popping up every time. I'm not on sprint - and would rather not see that any time. I checked the start up folder and didnt see anything.....any suggestions?

I'm actually not sure. Since I'm on Sprint, I never get that window. You could try removing the Windows/OMC folder, but not sure if that would do it or not. Since I don't have that issue, I can't really test unfortunately.

yeah, some of these custom roms using 218?? are really nice, but I really like the OK buttons at the bottom for easier one-handed use and also like the threaded email on the latest builds.

Agreed that there are some nice additions in the 6.5.X builds, but until we see OEM packages from ROMs with these builds, there are going to continue to be some compatability issues. HTC has improved some packages like Volume Control, Manila, and Notification enhancement to have better 6.5.X compatibility, but there are still issues with some of the more important packages, IMO -- like PhoneCanvas and TaskManager. Show me any 6.5.X rom by any chef, and I will show you a bug which can't be fixed. The 6.5 builds don't have these same issues.

That said, I may release a 6.5.X Sense 2.5 ROM in the future, as I have been known to make all different types of roms simply in the quest of trying new things. Afterall, I don't really even like Manila that much, and here is my latest release -- a Manila rom. One of my best Touch Pro ROM releases back from last year was exactly what I said I didn't really prefer -- a 6.5.X Sense 2.5 rom:

Couple of bugs I've been having since I flashed this morning. 1) I cannot get opera 9.7 to work at all, just shows the splash screen then closes. When I try to reopen it says something along the lines of trying to clean up previous session, try back in a while. Opera 10B works but very sluggish. 2) When using the phone lock feature, I set up a simple pin lock to come up after an hour of inactivity but every time I use the power button to put the phone to sleep and then come back to it within a few mins it relocks itself and I have to put my pin in. (does it without having the lock on as well, still have to slide to get to the home screen.) Plus I've had to do a couple random soft resets because of the phone not wanting to wake up. Other than that great organized ROM.

Indagroove u had abandoned us poor TP1 users in our time of need but many of us have come to join u in the land of the TP2 :P

anyway just got my TP2 and have to try INDAGROOVEs rom as i was using his rom for the TP1 and it was amazing so im hoping his quality of work is better if not equal here.

I agree with Inda in regards to the 6.5.x series. I do not like using it for the pure fact that programs do not close on x. Who wants to go into a task manager everytime you want to close something. I just don't get why MS does not put the option in......crazy

Shit. Didn't test Opera after updateing Opera 10, so there is a conflict, which should be an easy fix. The lock issue can be changes in the CSDevCtrl in Utilities or System Tools (can't remember which). I haven't had the no wake up issue myself.

Shuld have a fixed rom up tonight or in the morning with a fix for Opera, and some other tweaks.

The only way i know to stop that would be for inda to cook a blank carrier rom. As that is an adverse effect of trying to run a diff carrier on a cooked sprint rom. Unless you find a way to remove the traces of the sprint carrier files that are cooked in, you will always have that happen.

True, but it always seemed to cause other bugs. I actually prefer the X2 comm manager for the 6.5.X builds, which will close out apps with long press in the upper right, where the clock is.

Since I only have Sprint, and can only test Sprint, I only make Sprint ROMs unfortunately. I really don't like trying to support other carriers, when I can't test properly.

Greatly appreciated your work and looking forward to 6.5.x and sense 2.5 whenever you release it.

You can change the led notification time and settings in the sounds and notifications settings option. I have it set to flash for one hour upon new notifications (email, VM, text..). It should stop flashing when you check the new message, but I have noticed that it occasionally gets stuck. Soft reset should fix that.

edit. looks great. love the icons and seems very fast. Love the lock screen on a call as well as the taskbar. Only thing I noticed is the memory is up to 82% usage without installing anything and just setting up weather. will load her up and see how it goes. Thanks!

update2: ram is down to 60's now. lol. will start customizing. Ok so memory is up in the high 70's after setting up email accounts and installing software but doesnt appear to be slowing down.

I am having trouble changing weather wallpaper. I can change lock screen paper. I tried from "menu" softkey and from settings page. I can choose paper, but won't change on home screen.

Only mod I can think might affect this is santod's 16 links w/b4all.

I am using the same mod. its a little complicated when using this mod. You need to go to sense settings>personalize>animated wallpapers>select the lightning wallpaper. then select home wallpaper again>Weather wallpaper>and select your wallpaper. it will work fine then. Hope this helps. Also you can do the same to process but select static if you dont want weather animation on the homescreen. good luck.

You have a nice looking rom here! I've ran into a snag while customizing my phones settings within the Sense UI this new build somehow made my device get into a endless boot cycle and the device wouldn't fully start up. The only way out was a hard reset. I'll give it another go, but so far I've haven't had much luck with WM 6.5 Sense 2.5 ROMS compaired to the stock rom. :-/

Edit: After hard resetting the device isn't allowing me to install able cab files. Everything comes back unsuccesful. Not sure what that's all about.

The start menu folders are my favorite so far. ROM is getting better. My only issue is tethering. I only use a MB a day for emergencies but it's a handy thing.

Tried that, still not working. Animated works. When I try to change back to non animated, it goes back to stock background

My wife still uses your 6.5.x Sense 2.5 rom. She got my old touch pro. It was her 1st smart phone, i had your rom on it and she absolutely loves it. I'm scared to flash another rom on it because she is so comfortable with phone and it is not buggy. So you are right about that touch pro rom. I also am waiting for your 6.5.X 2.5 rom for the TP2 for the same reason the other guy listed....easier to use with 1 hand.

Sounds like you might have a bad flash or need to flash back to stock before reflashing.

You get mad props in my book... ive flashed just about every major rom, and yours is the 1st ive seen that gives me actual battery life! How'd you pull it off? Seriously, before i would get like 8-9 hours max at my house (spotty singal w/ airrave) but now i can get 2-3 days!!!
