simply push down on a text area and hold ... a popup menu will appear ... select text, copy, paste, etc ... but note this is only on the 2.5 messaging client. if you use elephants fix, then you should be fine. if you use cmylxgo fix, then you won't have it bc the fix puts the 2.1 messaging client there. if you aren't on sprint and no workaround, then you'd have the ability as well.

and yes swype is in this rom, but even though its pretty cool, its load time is ugghhh so i never use it ... we need a better port or maybe there is another version out there i can try.

hit that thanks for ya... i had a feeling i wasn't on 2.5 anymore... i did the cmylxgo fix, so thats why i cant copy/paste... lets hope r9 will include MMS.

Does anyone here use SPB Backup? Wondering how to use it to backup before flashing to R9. Since it'll have new windows settings, etc, will the backup restore overwrite those files or leave them alone?

also, since I'm a relatively new to deck's ROMs, is there a way to get rid of the Sprint crap in the start menu?
