Re: [120809] indagroove's Sprint Titanium TouchPro 2 ROM - (Build 21884.5.0.85)

Hey Indagroove,

I have not tried your TP2 ROM yet but if its anything like your 21864 sys that you had for the diamond...it would be now doubt it is a awesome ROM.

I like your work... I personally like the HTC Sense 2.1 but I wouldn't trash you for not making one. Kept doing what you do and thank you for you help in the past.=D>

Re: [120809] indagroove's Sprint Titanium TouchPro 2 ROM - (Build 21884.5.0.85)

Okay, I have this ROM installed and running. I setup my hotmail via the Windows Live, and then used MyPhone to get my contacts, calendar, and tasks. I then installed Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation, Sling Player, Remote Desktop, Skyfire, Facebook, SPB Mobile Shell, and put in the Sprint MMS settings.

Bing got my location in a matter of seconds (indoors). Google Maps had my location by the time the app opened (also indoors). I looked for Quick GPS but couldn't find it...

I then opened up Sprint Navigation and it prompted me to download Quick GPS data. So I set Quick GPS to automatically download, close when finished downloading, and don't remind me. It downloaded the data, and Sprint Navigation found my location in a matter of seconds- indoors.

I tested Internet sharing- worked flawlessly. I'll install the HTC WiFi Router tomorrow and test it...

I then opened up the Marketplace (which prompted me to install) and browsed through for a bit- worked flawlessly.

All of that stuff was installed to main memory too, nothing installed to storage card.

To anyone sitting on the fence about this- install this ROM. It is flat out awesome. I went out of my way to push it by installing everything to main memory, and it is still super snappy and responsive.

Juat a flat out awesome ROM. Very well done. After trying it out, now I can see why the chef said not to expect too many updates- because the ROM is pretty much perfect.

If he releases this kitchen, it is going to be a hot commodity, for sure. Heck, this ROM is going to be a hot commodity once the word starts spreading about it.

Big thanks to the chef, and I will be donating when I get some money.

All you people asking for manilla- install SPB Mobile Shell. You can even download it right from the marketplace. It's way better than manilla, and goes perfect with this ROM.

Is there a way to have classic lock instead of the slide to unlock? The classic seems to work better, its smoother and faster. Also I know it shouldnt have an effect but my reception appears lower with this ROM. I know its based on the radio but im not bugging, im having less bars at home & work. Everything else is good so far......

man i have no idea what he does in his rom to make the gps so quick. i used to think it was just a matter of what radio i was using. but then on my tp i decided to keep the sprint 1.12.34f radio and flash roms. and i mean every rom i had. grooves rom smoked everybodies gps lock. raidzero's later roms came close but grooves was always faster.

Go into the lock settings, click the display tab at the bottom and select "Windows Classic" from the drop down.

Go into the lock settings and uncheck the box that says "prompt if phone unused for."

Then when you lock the device, it won't ask for a passcode.

Okay, I just noticed one thing about this ROM...

When you send a text message, it has that annoying message sent popup. Is there a way to disable that?

I'm uploading a new build now that should be active for download in about 40 minutes. This build fixes Sprint MMS settings, and adds HTC Bookmarks for Opera 9.7.
