Been playing with this rom since released last night. Super fast just like usual and an unbelievable amount of free memory. i do get lots of lock ups though. it isn't until i start changing settings, sync exchange and install programs. i have tried not installing some programs. have hard reset and tried again several times. the last time, only apps installed were rhodium keyboard mapper and apristel reply2all. after that, very hard to get it to load after a soft reset and will freeze within a minute.

It does seem to be loading progress bar runs its course, I hit exit then tell it yes to reset the phone but when it reboots no go on the provisioning..If anyone could shed some light on this I would be really grateful.

Don't know what to tell you, if you follow the instructions in post 2 and it doesn't work. The provisioning has never failed on me, and seems to run fine for everyone else. Yes it may seem like its hung on first boot, but thats because its still loading things in the background from the ROM as i don't have the alignment and date screen anymore. I have never had to wait more than 5 to 10 seconds.

Then also noticed on the newer build there's only 1 settings button in start menu and it takes you to the manillla slider settings. Anyway to change it to goto windows settings? Hope it makes sense didn't get much sleep last night. Thanks in advance and am loving these ROMS.

Yes, settings button is the way it's supposed to be, and that was covered in an earlier post. On htc settings tab hit the softkey, and all settings. If you don't like htc messaging there are cabs floating around to disable it. That is way easier than me building an extra ROM.

Have you run it with no cabs installed? And have you installed SDKcerts before you installed the keyboard remapper. Try running with no cabs and see if you have an issue. If not, then it's just the cabs you install. And if you don't have issues with no cabs installed, try installing sdkcerts before the other cab installs. And personally out of 3 days running variants of this ROM no lock up for me. But i don't install alot of cabs though. I think someone else had the issue with the rhodium keyboard thing and installing sdkcerts fixed it.

Ok I must've missed dat. It's kinda funny where to get to settings that a person needs to hit 4 buttons... Why put it in start menu when all you have to do is swipe to the left once. Disabling htc messaging with the cabs is crappy for me too being on sprint. It always leaves a ghost message and blinking green light. Oh well I'm loading up your 2-12 ROM I think that was perfect. Your latest is like every other ROM now. Your work is greatly appretiated and I always come back. Thanks for all you hard work and your quick responses all the time Dibbson.:salute:

Np, sorry you don't like the HTC messaging. But i'm trying to streamline a bit as work load is picking up a bit, and i would rather have 4 roms to answer to instead of 6. And you can always use the default WM text app for messaging as it's still in there and works fine.

No, I haven't played with that as I don't have any ebooks to test it out on.

Ok, I got the new rom flashed. I'm still having the issue with aGPS and google maps. "My Location" is still not working. After working on this issue for while, I found out that recent versions of google maps maybe having issues with "My Location" which uses cell tower triangulation (aGPS). However, I installed an older version of google maps (that is suppose to work with aGPS) and still had the problem. So I dunno.:dontknow:

BTW, After researching the problem I have found out that you should be able to Turn Off GPS within Google Maps, and My Location should still work with aGPS.

LANDSCAPE CLEAR TYPE FIX:
Regarding clear type being turned off in landscape, I still had the issue on your new rom. But I verified that installing "Nobody's ClearTypeInLandscape.cab" fixes the issue... You NEED to soft-reset after installing the cab for the changes to take effect. So whatever reg edits this cab does fixes the problem.:toothy7:

Outlook Issue:
Lastly, I am once again getting "Outlook E-mail" being stuck in the upper left hand corner after closing the email client. Once it is stuck I am forced to soft-reset to get things working normally again. Happened twice already, and I didn't notice that problem on the beta test.

Also, is advanced configuration still installed? I couldn't find it on the latest rom.

Re: <> 2-19-10 <> Medium Hill Rom's <> SYS 23534 & 21890 <> MH UC & Provisioning v3.1

I took out advanced config, as i read on a few threads that it could cause aGPS to not work. I guess it didn't make a diff, lol. And i'm kinda clueless, these are all new packages for 2012, so it's weird that it's still not working. I might try cooking a rom with nothing but manila installed and see if that makes a diff. If it does, then it's another package causing the issues. Although, i've cooked a clean rom with nothing but the SYS files, and that didn't solve the sprint tv issues, i know your VZ, but these issues may somehow be related. It's just really weird that aGPS doesn't work when all the files are there and reg settings are correct. But hey, at least your weather and Gmaps are working, even if you have to turn on gps in the options for gMaps. But as always, i will continue to try and work these issues out. And far as tmail, personally i haven't had it do that out of the 3 or 4 days i've been running it, but thats just me. Although a new 235xx sys did drop today. 23540 :)

Yeah, i got it on my comp now, just haven't played with it. Not sure what all the differences are between 23540 and 23534, but i'll probably build one tomorrow and see what it's got. Been playing with my website, setting up some forums actually. Almost got them ready, and been working on some new main page designs as well. Haven't worked on it in a couple days, so i thought i would tonight.

Ok, got a test ROM up. New SYS is 23540 app changes are as follows: Pandora is back in, landscape clear type reg edit, removed Foxit PDF and replaced with Adobe PDF, Nitrogen media player, and advanced config is back in(since it didn't effect agps). Let me know what you think. Not sure what the internal changes are to the SYS yet, only had in on my phone for a couple hours.

On the ROM before the newly released test, I don't know if anyone noticed but the data connection icon in the taskbar(blue globe with signals bars over it) is a tad bit small. I've been using the following for quite a bit of time. It's the dll responsible for the icon and the reg file that tells the OS to use the provided dll. Dibbs, I, personally would enjoy a WM text message version(I am aware that I can still use it) but I can never get htc messaging to do MMS. If someone has this working please do share. The reg file is a zip due to PPC restrictions on registry files. Soft reset after you use it to see changes.

EDIT: If I don't make sense I'm sorry but it's my birthday and I'm slightly intoxicated. Goodday chaps.

Well, Happy Birthday man!! And when you say MMS doesn't work, does it not work in the regular WM text app either? I got another ROM i just uploaded actually. And everyone is probably gonna say, What are you thinking Dibbson? But i was bored and tired of working on the forum part of my website. It's a 23540 Titanium ROM, but it's pretty much completely stripped down. Besides a few base things from the SYS, the only things that were added were Wifi sharing, htc phone canvas, and my updater app. RAM percentage on first boot is 36%, storage = 279MB free, and Program = 116MB free. Pretty good. Basically it's a blank slate ROM to do what you want to with. Although, i will not be supporting this titanium ROM as it was just a fluke really that i made it.

http://mediumhill.com/dibbson/roms/t...edTitanium.rar

And because i know i will keep getting the requests and posts, I have a non HTC Messaging 23540 Sense 2.5 version uploading now.

Re: <> 2-19-10 <> Medium Hill Rom's <> SYS 23534 & 21890 <> MH UC & Provisioning v3.1

Hey Dibbs. Still using the 2-19 23534 ROM and it's generally working very well for me. Love the looks, performance, and overall stability. Would love to see 100M of free RAM after boot but that's probably asking too much (and I get ~90MB which is pretty darn good for 6.5.x and sense 2.5).

Had a few quirky issues with it that I wanted to let you know about:

1. Sometimes I get stuck in Landscape mode. It's happened in mail, opera, and a few other apps. If I open and close the slider 1x or 2x everything resolves itself.

2. At some point, the windows start button no longer launches the applications screen. It always works for some time after a soft-reset. But somewhere along the way it quits working and I can't get any response to pressing the windows start hard button. A soft reset clears up this condition for awhile, but then it happens again :(

Agree with the other poster on the wifi icon -- it looks very nice but it's a little tiny. Either that, or I'm just gettin' too old! I may try 23540 just for yucks...

Ameba (Adapting Menu Bar) works great to solve this issue. It also makes sure that the bottom "X" closes programs. It's available from here:

How do you import the reg file. I tried PHM Regedit and tried to run the file from the SD card and I cannot get it to import.

Also has any Verizon Wireless user have to install the provisioning cab, then soft reset and install it again to actually get data to work? It's not with the provisioning cab itself because I downloaded the one from MM's ROM and had to do the same thing. I just think there's some conflicts with stuff in the ROM and Verizon's network because I tried another ROM with the same sys and build of Manilla and was able to use AGPS with Google Maps and not have to turn "gps" on Got a triangulation lock instantly.

I imported the registry key and moved the .dll file to /Windows . Not sure if you were talking about the signal icon or the EV/1X/ActiveSync icon but here is a screen shot of what I still get. Not sure if I missed a step here. The icon has been like that with every build for the past few weeks after installing the Verizon Provisioning cab. Once the phone boots after a ROM upgrade the icon is the blue EV and after you install provisioning and reset it is like this.

Dibbs,
With the exception of YouTube not working (no biggie for me, I use CorePlayer), everything appears to be running smooth as silk! The battery life is incredible! I flashed at 100% and I was thinking the taskbar meter might be broken since it took FOREVER for it to go to 90%!!!:)

@Spaceboy, Different carriers can affect the way a top taskbar icon looks especially the signal and or EV/1x icons. Although, I'm not sure why you are getting a red x over the sync icon though, i've never seen that one come up on my phone.

@Moziah, youtube works for me, but i have to put it on fast download to keep it from clipping from time to time. But none the less, i'm glad your enjoying the ROM.

Bummer. Got a series of MMS messages from my daughter and my test ROM locked up. Had to soft-reset using the stylus, and my system re-boots without sense. I have a blank today screen and the soft buttons launch calendar or contacts but that's it. No taskbar and no ability to launch the applications screen using windows start. :(

I think I'm going to have to hard reset to get this going again. I had maxmanilla enabled at the time. Wonder if that had anything to do with this???
