The phone would lock up so I would pull the stylus and hit reset but it would just sit at the black "touch pro" screen with the radio info for 3-5 minutes and never boot. I would pull the battery for ~30 seconds and put it back in and then the phone would hard reset. Not sure if that is a "feature" but it is really annoying. It was a killer for me using this rom and I had to move on to something else.
Every time the system locked up I was just using tf3d (usually when trying to change tabs) and the screen and buttons all became unresponsive.

u need to "flash dance" sir.

Yes I have seen this too. Very annoying. Assuming it was a flash issue, I took no chances and cleaned up the entire chain:
Re-downloaded the ROM and extracted.
Formatted my SD-Card fresh (I flash from SD).
Reflashed 1.01b.
Enjoy the ROM with all issues gone...
Enjoy your evening :-)

I believe I did flash dance but may be unclear on what the whole dance requires. Please let me know if these are the right steps

0. Hard reset device
1. download rom and flash via SD card or in recovery mode via USB
2. after flash is complete do a hard reset
3. after hard reset and customizations run, reset device

Is that all correct?
Right now I am using EnergyROM without any of the issues I was having with NFSFAN's rom but it may just be coincidence.

I installed your opera 10 beta and I can't see the settings and options buttons under the default winmo soft keys...Any suggestions?

Other than that, the best rom I've used.

The "flashdance" starts with flashing back to the stock rom from your carrier first. Then proceeding with the rest of those steps.

To me the flash dance goes like this.

1) Flash Stock rom
2) pull battery out for a couple of minutes and turn back on
3) Clear storage
4) flash custom rom
5) Battery thingy again
6) Clear Storage

4-6 should be done on every single rom u flash

awesome job on this man! Glad to see you fixed that keypad button during the phone call thingy i had mentioned. no bugs so far! using it for 2 days solid with a lot of abuse and still holding up strong. OH...one thing...my mess up though..i had forgotten to flash my uscc carrier cab to it and noticed that the radio kept going offline and data would not work. i flashed the carrier cab, downloaded the prl and bam! No problems after that! once again, Awesome job dude!
