same here, i didnt see/feel any noticable lag. runs very slick. and as mentioned above you need to install the cthome editor or whatever its called. thats how you put it in vga mode. works fast, and adds a ton of quicklinks.

ok...gonna attempt to reflash my phone...having to many issues with...
1..when i connect with activesync it freezes
2.task manager
3.Lags....
other then that its a well layed out rom....just to many glitches...i'll let you know after i reflash the phone again if anything changes..

couple issues that maybe there is a fix for:

1) If you select a fav contact and choose to text msg them it opens manila texting and is allll black. Once you have sent them a text thru the windows text messenger it works fine in manila...

2) Landscape kills the background wallpaper. This is an issue in other ROMs as well. I have seen a few fixes around, but not sure which one will work with the landscape program NSF is using

3) Cannot get a "approximate location" in Google Maps. In other ROMs it has automatically found my location "within 2400 yards" or so, not the case here I have to wait for GPS lock which could take 30 seconds or so...

by far the least amount of bugs of any rom I have used, hopefully i can fix these issues...

CellID location on google maps still doesn't seem to work. I see that you updated the google location service, I was hoping that would make it work.

I had the same problem with the black text message screen. Once I fixed one, all the rest work fine (as far as I know). Is there any way to turn off the chime after you close all programs on task manager? It's a little loud for me.

well looks like its functioning the second time around...
been messing with the activesync and so far no freezing...
task managaer seems to be working also...next time i'll flash your roms from bootloader screen...that might of been the problem the whole time..

Props to the Cook the rom is runnung very smooth =D>, I was wondering how do I enable it so that when i answer a call and bring the phone to my ear the screen shuts off so i don't push everything with my ears,](*,)

I'm happy to report that after 24hour of use I have none of the problems I had with 1.04. Seems rock solid so far! Awesome work NFSFAN!!!

I flashed to stock. Hard reset. Flashed to 1.05. Hard reset.

Wow this rom is fast... thanks!

Anyway, I'm not sure if it's specific to this rom or it's just the way the phone works, but I use my phone for tethering, using the included HTC WifiRouter, but when I turn the screen off, it also shuts off the connection. I want to keep my phone in my backpack when I use tethering, so it would be nice if the screen could turn off to save battery and prevent random buttons from being pressed

Hi, i am having consistent freezing with the new 1.05 task manager. How do i disable/ uninstall new task manager with the 1.04 ars task manager?. only program i had install and need to toogle between in task manager is beejive and nfs's opera10.5 beta3.

I have tried to reflash 3 times from boot loader and still freeze after a few hour usuage.

I havent had any issues with the task manager, in fact when I used ark on 1.04 if I used it to kill when I had file explorer open it would freeze and have to soft reset. I would love to have the texting back from 1.04, dont care for how this one looks. font is too small and the shades of gray are too similar.

The one feature I would love from this rom is having a call history box on the home screen.

Great ROM thanx a lot. I just installed the newest release and I can't get manila locker to work after I press the power button. If I activate the regular locker with password then it comes on but without it doesn't. I don't want to go through two lockers to use my device. It also comes on if I press the lock button in the program window and it works if I hold the end button and then click on lock device. I can't find an option to modify the settings. I have read some previous posts about it and one of the users was suggesting to switch to Sense and then go to settings tab > Personalize > Manila Locker.... the Problem with that is that when I go to Personalize there is no Manila Locker option. Someone please help... I just want Manila locker to come on after I turn the screen off on my device, that's all. I just want to be able to hit the power button to turn it off and then hit the power button to turn it back on and then slide the slider to the side of the screen to unlock the device. i was asking about the same thing, my understanding is that the guy who supplies NFSFAN with an updated manilla locker has yet to bring it up to a compatible version.

Search for smartlock. It's a good alternative for now, it gives the native windows slide lock some more functionality such as activating on standby or backlight cycles.

question, can anyone point me to the original facebook cab file? The new updated facebook is a good IDEA, BUT it sucks! it just hangs and hangs and hangs and sometimes it act as if you posted but u go and check..nothing! i wanna rollback my fbook client to the prior version

I love this new ROM. I'm having none of the issues that I was having with 1.04. This is so much more stable and seems faster too. The only question I have is; how can I make my bluetooth headphones use the HTC media player instead of WMP? In the stock ROM, when I used the AVRCP controls from my headset, it would control the HTC player. Now whenever I do it, WMP comes up. Is there a setting to change the default media player?

I have a question for you guys, though.. I'm sure its just a simple checkmark here or a tab there that I can't find, so I apologize for the complete stupid question but I can't seem to figure it out (had the same issue with 1.04)

With HTC Sense enabled, how do I change the wallpaper background? If I change it, it'll change when I hit the windows button, but the actual wallpaper for HTC Sense stays a solid black. On the screenshot, you can see he has sense and the blue behind it. Anyone have any ideas?

Go to Settings Tab -> Personalize -> Home Tab Wallpaper -> Weather Wallpaper -> pic what you want.

It will only change the home screen wallpaper, if you want all tabs to have same search for BG4A cab. The glitch with that is if you open your keyboard it will reset your wallpaper to black until you restart the device...

Finally got this ROM installed, it's what I had hoped the last one would be. So many little things are improved, and I dare say that it's faster than 1.04? All of the issues I had in the last build are fixed, it's so nice to have a working backlight again.

I did have the all black text bug, but after sending a text through the microsoft texting tab, then getting one back, it fixed it. I can now text everyone without that black box. The new HTC messaging client is MUCH better and faster.

Thanks! I had read about CHT, but didn't know all the features it had. I wish I had been using it for a while now, it made my device so much more useful :)

Here is what my home screen looks like. I used CHT Editor with the following settings:
-4x4 quick links
-Simple animation (much faster for me, but you lose the rollover effect going to program tabs)
-Always show call history
-Always show appointments
-Hide empty shortcuts (you probably don't need to do this, but I like it)
-Enable VGA mode (not sure what it does, but I read to enable)

Overall I'm very pleased with the stability of 1.05, I haven't had a reset in 24 hours which is a huge improvement!

Me too. This is unfortunate as every other ROM I flash this always works as far back as I can remember. There are a lot of times I don't need, nor want to fire up GPS to determine the surrounding area...oh well.:disgust: Thus far, everything else on the ROM is humming along.

I am so impressed with the 1.05 that I installed it on my gimped VZ TP everything is working great, it still sucking the life out of my "ext battery" but, I expected that because I'm using more then just Titanium,

Question on the Home screen where is says "My Location" is there a hack to just put in the city, I setup on the weather tab. "My Location" works when it wants to for me.

but still A+ Rom, I think i'm going to stick with it until, I get annoyed with RAM usage.

Long Press on the "Back" button. (PS it's mentioned in the changelog)
