Quick GPS?

Hi,

I couldn't find HTC Quick-GPS in the ROM. Does anyone have a CAB of a version that will work with this ROM? It downloads the satellite ephemeris to eliminate cold starts.

Look under GPS View icon, set 1st COM 4, 2nd open gps and 3rd check power save. Tha is quick gps.

So that will automatically download ephemeris every 7 days from the internet, or when it expires? that is what the HTC version does. It does not download it from the satellites directly.

There is no expiration. Follow through since I'm right now plainy with this new update. Is clean, fast with what u need. U will not find that quick download that u r use to. This is different with new google, new myphone and others. Follow later posts 1 & 2.

Are you telling me Google Location Service downloads the ephemeris every 7 days?? Why do most other cooked ROMs on this site include QuckGPS if this is true??

All chefs are different with their own personal input, knowledge and inspiration of what to include in their ROM's. Like I said GPS View icon will be ur quick GPS where u do ur settings.

Here is the one I use cabbed up for you. Remember you will need a provisioning cab from the first post as well.

Edit: Fixed duplicate Start Menu icons. Need to reboot after installing provisioning cab.

I ended up with a clock called "laser inc. clear clock.cab" I think I found it somehow or other in the thread I just listed.

Not sure if this is common knowledge... in the list of threads in a forum, if you click the paperclip icon on a thread it will pop up a window with all the attachments (i.e. the cabs) in the thread.
