try SpinRite yet?

www.grc.com

If you hard drive / data can be recovered, SpinRite will do it. It's $89, but it is worth the money.

I am talking about when you're on the home page. You should be able to click where you see the tiny "START" on the top left hand corner. It takes some practice before you know just where to press to pull it up. I thought you were talking about how to change the settings within quickmenu. Hope you figured out by now.

Old FdcSoft TaskManager but has the best reg editor IMO.

-Ping utility
-IP config
-Net Stats
-Registry Editor
-cut/copy/paste included
-reg file extension associated
-find returns all occurences
-import reg files
-export to reg files

I am following the directions on post 4 to make my menus larger. I can't find alens soft under my software keys utilizing the reg editor included in the rom.

Not saying the reg edit is wrong but you could try opening Quick Menu, tap on Quick Menu/Option. Menu Tabs are on the bottom, select view, use Menu Edge Item to change it to whatever looks good to you.

That does indeed suck, you should try booting into a Linux Live CD like Knoppix or Ubuntu and copy the files off to an external drive or flash drive. Just because Windows will not boot, it doesnt mean the files are gone.

i agree with you. inda take it easy.

Have you done the flash to stock process? This very often will cure random hard and/or soft resets? Did you see a hard reset when the battery was good or only when it died? Just curious-shouldnt matter, if a dead battery caused hard resets we ALL be p*ssed :)

If you are not familiar check out Post #4 by zone23 about the "flashdance". While it doenst say it, I'd add a hard reset post flash of the custom ROM.

Does anyone have trouble getting a gps lock using garmin xt? I have done multiple flash dances and several radio changes, but still have the same problems. google maps work fine, but garmin doesn't want to play I guess...
