PIM backup sucks IMO, because users often end up restoring old reg settings and mess things up -- then they think it's my fault.

Thats it was, when I was changing the Home Tab order thats what threw it out or whack. Now I have it setup in Sashimi I didn't see it.

When did PIM Backup start backing up reg settings? I've never seen that option.

I use both! I guess it comes from years of working with MS. :)

I use PIMBackup to restore my outlook e-mail and call history. My Phone can do the other stuff but when I'm lazy I just use PIMBackup for everything.

Hey Groove... you sure about this? I did not know it did that. I thought it only did db and user files.

I thought it only backed up files and folders, not reg settings when you used the Custom option?

I use the custom option to backup "My Document" and when I restore I un-select a lot of folders AND instruct the restore to only copy back files not found on my device. Basically I am restoring notes, word, and Excel files.
