I installed it after reading your post. Working fine so far after about 24 hrs. Thanks for the info! :)

yes, this ROM is great, but the my location weather frustrates me. its not a necessary thing, i would like to figure out what to do to get it to work all the time.

i dont understand why you need it to work all the time? are you constantly in a different city 20 times a day? for your home town i would recommend just setting it up as location 2/2 & flip back to "MY LOCATION" whenever you ARE traveling.. i dont see the need to engage GPS every single time you update the weather. IS IT JUST ME??

what if you want to update the weather while you are in a basement or the mall? you wont be able to get a GPS fix there do u see my point?

/end rant

dont mean to take it out on you personally, its just tiring seeing everyone complain about it when honestly they dont need to rely on a GPS coordinate to determine weather.

w/e dude, my location hasn't updated since 3:30 yesterday.
im not bitching about anything, i asked if someone knew how to make it work consistently. as previously stated, this is a great ROM.

do you have weather set to auto update on a timed interval? mine is working without a hitch.

the problem is not the gps...it gets your location...the problem is that it will not open a data connection on it's own which it needs to d/l the weather....

here is your fix: open opera, and goto any website...then hit the "update now" button on weather.

i am also coming from NRGs 28002 ROM.....i love his work, but his recent 6.5.1+TF2.5 builds have been uncharacteristically sloppy.

i have to say, this ROM is pretty tight....it is fast and seems to be very stable. it also includes many of the apps i usually have to install myself which is nice. aesthetically, it's not really my taste....the WM theme is bland, the start menu is not organized well and the icons scream "iPhone wannabe!!"....but i can change all that and am kind of looking forward to it...NRGs aesthetics made me lazy, now i can theme hunt like in the Mogul days!

good work indagroove! i will definately be following your work in the future.
