+1 on that.
Have used Linux live CDs to recover many files.
Just have to have two DVD drives to make it happen or another drive that isn't crashed.

That works too. :)
I just burn my data to another DVD drive and I am good to go.
Not a problem because I back up my needed data often.

I've tried all those, but still the problem persists. I don't know what the difference is between this rom and other roms I've flashed. It's mind buggling right now......

Mind sharing what you did? Because it seems I am not the only one to experience the problem.

Does Linux read NTFS?

Settings...
Remote GPS and COM 4 is all I can see in settings.

Btw, I am inside the house. Not sure it works good while driving. Many are reporting that it and other GPS programs run very slow.

Depends on what Distro you use.
I think most current ones will.

Try These Live cd/dvds Ubuntu, Kubuntu and probably Knopix should work fine.
Also Mandriva has a live edition that should work.
There are so many distros you will just have to try a few.
It is like flashing ROMs, just see what works best for you.
