Ok I loaded new rom and restored a backup I made from previous rom using sprite backup level 1 restore. Backup worked fine but the phone dialer was messed up. Couldnt see dial pad. So I hard reset again and tried dialer again before I restored. Was fine. REstored and dialer was messed up. Tried disable htc dialer cab and original dialer came up then. SO I tried to enable HTC dialer and it was messed up. Any ideas?

Sprite backup will restore your previous ROM... I only ever backup using PIMBackup for messages and phonebook.

Sprite backup is supposed to restore across rom upgrades with the level one option. It has always worked in the past. Just this current rom is what it had trouble with. I have another possible problem, when I receive or send a txt msg I see the phone number instead of the contact name now. For example I send txt to my son, pick his name and send txt msg, when I look at list of txt msgs I see his number.

dl 11/11 now, will flash later and let you know RSTG--so far, 11/6 is running great other than the occasional sms lag--tellme is a great addition.

Ok, I think I have the rom where I want it. Some startmenu placement tweaks on sunday, but I am quite happy otherwise. Here is an update for the Sprint and Generic version until...the morning lol! ( not! )
