Re: indagroove's "Stock" Upgraded Sprint WM 6.5 Touch Pro ROM [102109]

the rom runs flawless...i just am having trouble customizing it, a added the sprint flip clock, but it will not work for this rom, it adds it but when u swipe ur finger upwards on the clock it just highlights it, i also tried mightymike & Lilrico flip clocks and none of them seem to work with this rom, i tired transparent sliders and background on all pages, all these cabs dont seem to work with this rom, is there any customizing cabs out there that can do any of these things i mentioned and work with this rom?

Now that I've installed this ROM, anyone have any hints on WM 6.5? Is there anything like the "recently used items" from the 6.1 start menu? Can I reorganize the "Programs" page? Is there any resource online for upgraders from 6.1 that explains the differences?

Thanks for the ROM! Loving it so far.

Jason

hey guys.. im considering flashing to this rom.. its gonna be my first rom ever... quick question.. will the phone lag/freeze up when you have too many threaded texts? i know that its a known problem with winmo6.5 but has anyone had this problem with this rom? and secondly.. whats the best way to back up contacts/sms without using shashimi? shashimi looks really complicated for a n00b like me.. :) ive looked at pim backup.. but not exactly sure of how to reload the content once the stuff that i need has been backed up..

Can somebody post the User Agent that Opera on the stock rom uses? I don't like the one that this version of Opera uses.

Thanks!

Jason

EDIT: Found this one: "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible ; MSIE 6.0; windows ce; IEMobile 7.11) sprint ppc6850sp" Seems to work.

i recommend pim back up. open it up it will backup a copy of all the component that you wish to save (message, contact, call log) to your storage card. Upon loading up a new rom simple open up pim back and hit restore, browse to your storage card where they saved the file and it will restore and re-ask you what you want to reload. most roms are comming stock with pimbackup, but if you chose a rom that doesnt have it you will want to have a copy of pimback up hand on you storage card. (just search around for a copy)

Re: indagroove's "Stock" Upgraded Sprint WM 6.5 Touch Pro ROM [102109]

Just wanted to say thanks.

I tried someone's beta native 6.5 rom (name will not be mentioned). It broke bluetooth on my phone, specifically bluetooth would not work with any of my cars built in bluetooth (2x Audis and 1x BMW), but still worked with the regular bluetooth stuff. I mentioned it to this person in a PM, they blew up at me and said it wasn't possible. So I grabbed all the sprint TPs in my family that don't have cars with bluetooth and tried them all on my cars, they all worked. Flashed to said rom and none of them worked with my cars anymore.

I have flashed back to stock and many other roms to try to get bluetooth functionality back for my vehicles. Your rom, not sure what's different about it, but it has bluetooth working with my vehicles again. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke I grabbed all my family's TPs and flashed them as well and sure enough they work again too.

So thanks.

*now I'm scared to flash to my usual rom in fear of loosing bluetooth with my vehicles again.

indagroove, just want to say THANK YOU!

I've just had your ROM loaded up for about 15 minutes now so I haven't had a chance to test everything - but so far, so good! I'm psyched :)

Re: indagroove's "Stock" Upgraded Sprint WM 6.5 Touch Pro ROM [102109]

Hi again,

Here are two things issues I've encountered so far - nothing major though:

1. The Calculator is not working (HTCCalculator, I think?) If you need the error message / screenshot, do let me know. (I figure you would be able to recreate it at your end too). If and when this is addressed, would you consider make just the working calculator available as well (besides the next cumulative ROM release)?

2. From COMM Manager, when I turned on WiFi and selected the network, I got the screen where I enter the WiFi password. I slid out the keyboard and the screen went into Landscape mode, but it did not render that screen well at all. I could see the text entry box but the rest of the screen was garbled up.

Hope my comments help. Once again, great job!

Anyone know if you can continue using Compact Qwerty with the EZInput 2.0 installed? I tried the EZInput CAB on my phone and it's just to small to use with normal size hands. Had to HR to get the standard SIP back with Compact Qwerty.
