This is missing the WIFI area in connections.

EDIT: Nevermind, I pulled out battery for a minute and now the wifi icon shows and my wifi works. This is very weird.

Will DCD Sprint carriercab work for this ROM?

Re: *Updated October 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs

GPS in Googlemaps or GPSviewer don't work for me unless I am out of town. The only correlation I can find is that I am roaming. I live in Sarasota, FL and work in Ocala, FL when I travel to Ocala my GPS locks instantly. In Sarasota it wont lock. GPS worked in Sarasota on other versions of the rom, maybe the same gps issue that was linked to TomTom. My phone has always had sketchy GPS anyways.

Howdy,

When I revert to the stock WM dialer, all I get is a white screen where the dialer should be. Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks,
DM

Re: *Updated October 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs

I'm a very huge fan of this ROM, but I have just a few questions.

Since of course this is a generic ROM, I just need to run the Sprint provisioning CAB, and that's it? Or is there something else I need to do after running the CAB?

Also, I noticed in this ROM it has a lot of the menus filled with the HTC-branding on top of WM. Is there a way to make it go back to the WM default (for example, I wanted to install nuebattery, but the battery screen was HTC-branded).

If I can fix these small issues on my end, I'll run this ROM fulltime - it's incredibly fast and stable. Great job!

I flashed rom's for years till my usb cable gets warm - nothing has come close to this rom in speed and no bloat crap... From a business user that swaps batteries by the hour, you get my vote. Just incredible so far!

Yooooooooo..... This ROM is awesome... fast as hell... If I could make this stuff, this would be what I would make..

Power to all the chefs and such and all they put in it, but there is now a +1 for NFSFAN!

- Thanks!

have you made sure that the buttons work in other apps (like word mobile)?... might be a hardware problem

I keep trying to run the installer and it keeps failing. It brings me as far as the progress bar on my PC and on my Phone. It just sits at 0% for like 5 minutes and then it tells me to recover the installation. I'm really excited about this ROM and can't wait to try it. I have a RAPH500, HTC TOUCH PRO, Verizon. Would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thank you

the only thing missing from this awesomeness of a ROM is...
the 3 bottom buttons found in other ROM's..u know instead of the "Contacts" and "Set" the 3 buttons...

other than that, this mofo is smooth!

Re: *Updated October 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs

I've fixed all issues in B13. Will release R2. AVRCP has also been fixed. I did a whole kitchen overhaul and changed to platform rebuilder.

B13 R2 changelog:

*Kitchen changed to platformrebuilder with my .bat scripts
*Updated Google Maps 3.2.1.17
*Updated MyPhone
*Updated Windows Live
*Fixed GPS issues with TomTom and IGo
*Fixed BT Pan
*Fixed AVRCP

Below is a screen capture of the memory layout. Slot 0 is empty for best stability. Also you can see that I am using my own batch file scripts :D

Re: *Updated October 8th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs

Please Help!!!

I love this ROM, but I cannot get good GPS quality with it. I know most people have no issue with this, but my GPS on my phone has always been finicky. I updated to Build 13 and Build 13 R2...and neither one allows my GPS to work. My GPS worked (although not really well) with all the other builds.

Here is the wierd part, when I travel out of my hometown (sarasota, FL) my GPS has always worked better. I work in Ocala and with Build 13 my GPS worked the other day, but not when I got home. I tried with the tweaks listed below and I tried before installing any tweaks, no luck...

I installed these tweaks:

GPS Registry - Alltel: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...0&d=1237009140 (direct d/l link FYI)

Turbo_GPS_Settings: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496800

Any help would be great, because GPS is my favorite feature on this phone.

**edit: I am using Google Maps**

Re: *Updated October 8th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs

I have a goofy question. I have MetroPCS and have a great carrier cab made by Ryan Mogul that works like a champ to get my data working, but in the year I have had my Touch Pro, I have only once gotten my GPS to work, and I don't even remember what ROM that was. I have tried a lot of different ones. Does anyone using this ROM know if I can use one of the attached provisioning cabs to get my GPS working with Metro?
