oh man, i totally didn't notice that that my received texts were actually datestamped to 2016! haha.
that bug totally makes sense now. i don't think it's an issue with the peoplemessagingclassic, but with the receive date...because it doesn't match the send date/time, it just throws it all at the bottom =P
i'm going to try the telus patch, and see if it works.

I didn't have any stabiliaty problems. Just no caller id and hopefully that was my low volume problem. Think battery life was a little lower to. Oh well see what 23541 brings.

you might want to try 23542...there's a rollup for it posted on the da_g sys page.

there are some suspend cannot-wake-up issues with 23541 and some other builds (i think)...i encountered it once so far =P

Yes only used 23541 for few hours and had no wke issue twice. found 23542 other day but only with WVGA SYS. Been looking for the VGA SYS but no luck. If you see it please post link.

yes phcanimages.dll is specific to the dialer package. in order to do this to other dll's there are a few requisites...

PE Explorer, or other resource editor

open up the dll in pe explorer, delete the images that you dont want (if any) save the dll, then save all resources from it as images. then edit each image with GIMP or photoshop and convert the mode to indexed, make sure you auto generate the color palette (indexing discards all information about colors that are not present in the image, thus saving space). if you have photoshop CS2, I have already created droplets to convert bmp's and png's to indexed mode. I will attach them if anyone is following what I am saying.

after the images have been edited (they will now be much more lightweight) replace all the images in the dll and save, then use the dll in an EXT as normal.

if all the editing sounds scary, its pretty simple to just remove resources from a DLL. with PE explorer, all you do is right click it, and click remove resource. then say yes to the warning when you save the file so it can recalculate the size of the dll.

Thanx for your mini Tutorial on editing .dll files I was able to chang one of the rhodium dialers and make it a few megs smaller. Can you share those droplets you were speaking of and what index size works best (8,16....) and should certain files not be indexed and I found out compressing the files causes all kind of werd side effects ( using Photoshop)

If you have 23518 I have had very good luck with it. I think most of the changes between builds of same COM mainly are in SYS. Don't think MSXipKernel really changes.

If you don't already know looking in DF TaskMan might tell you what is causing the crash.

MSXIPKernel is the part of the native kernel which changes every build, so it does make a difference =P The rest of the native kernel is device-specific.

Since rebuilding with 28011 (modified to have threaded emailing), I've had no suspend-wakeup issues...I think it's a bug with the later 25XXX builds, read about it on the Da_G sys thread.

28011 really has been gold for me. Every time I go back to it, I'm impressed by the stability and speed =)
