ok, I'm running windows xp on this old pc and my tp won't connect via activesync. It is not my pc and I don't wanna update really, too many bugs in vista personally. I would like to unlock my tp and flash some of these radios. I'm in northern indiana and the customer service rep tells me that this is a EV area and supposedly I'm in the between 2 towers close by and I get 1X most of the time. I go 5 miles down the road basically to the next town and get fairly decent EV... then also my tp feels like it will explode in my pocket. I wanna aleviate that as much as possible. Haven't ever tried flashing roms before but this shipped rom is pissing me off. I love my tp but there are alot of issues in my area.

You can unlock and flash roms and radios from the microSD card. no need for a computer. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61333

this may seem like a dumb question but I went through every post and I couldn't find what i was looking for.... If I flash a new radio will I lose any info programmed in the NAM and will I get a different PRL that is currently in my phone?

Ok so I've spent the past 1.5 hours searching google and ppcgeeks and I know there's a link in the first post for the Verizon 1.03.03V radio but when I click on the link it's broken. Can someone please help me find a copy of the radio?

So, today I had my phone in my pocket for three hours and my battery went down almost 30%. I live in Aurora, IL and am wondering what radio would be best to reduce battery consumption.
