Not flaming, but is anyone surprised by any of this? Remember how Tech1 tried to hijack Merdin's ROM with all his gloating?

The idea sounds great, I just don't think Tech1 is the person to wrap all this together in a stable ROM.

Maybe we can convice him to get the ideas to a more seasoned chef.

nope, i gave u a thanks for this too...good ideas, but saying there is nothing wrong with the rom is a major overstatement..not to flame either, but the user having to do their own bug fixes is far from cool...

Thank you Milhouse I flash alot of the new roms and check them out just to help out with the bugs.
Then post my results just to help out for someone to say I quote I no what I am doing then to get rude when reporting I am sorrry but this rom is not for me.

See you are making statments ok, but you are not telling me what your problem are.... This ROM is smooth as silk.... I don't have to soft reset every 10 seconds.... I don't have any problems at all, now something is fishskkkiesy here...!{LOL}:drunken:

Tech1 I have to agree w/Hypnotic2010 , I just tried out your ROM and its rough around all edges. If implementing to users to go out and find the cab files to install while stating that "Your Image/ROM" works great with them can kind of seem misleading. Dont get me wrong the approach sounds great but you are kindly lacking in information.

I would suggest rewriting your first post and break it down like a majority of the Chefs do here but be organized . This will cut down on confusion and alot of negative feed back.

But dont take it to heart as this is just MY personal opinion......

aw man dont give up, i wasnt trying to downplay u or anything. im actually quite excited ur venturing into the rom fortay. if u make a rom we expect bugs, we also expect future updates or releases. dont tell me uve been running the stock sprint rom until today? or what about mightyrom1? i dont even know if there was such a thing as juicyrom1 -5, even the best had lots of hurdles to jump to get to where they are.

all im saying is take ur time if u need it, get things done right or ask for some help and we'll help u figure it out. and im glad u are interacting with ur posters, hopefully u dont mind our suggestions so heres one more. edit one of ur 1st page reserved posts title bugs. included a list of known and found bugs, this way when u give us an update u have a list of stuff to fix and ur rom flashers will know what they r getting into. it wouldnt be cool to find out the alarm is broke at 8am the next day after having set a 6am alarm (im just saying for example if something like the alarm were broke)

hopefully u can fix the minor probs and give us a 0.02 version by friday nite so i can toy with it this weekend.

a fully loaded multimedia rom sounds great, make sure to include youtube if its not cuz i think i already read u post that we need to install 2 youtubes?? is that right? what the

I did tell you what the problem was took your advice installed the cab to windows an still had the same issues trying to be nice and falshing your rom I reported the facts I do know what I am doing and to get smart with someone that is trying to help sets a bad taste for helping out try not to be a smart --- and maybe your rom may work out for others

The emulator don't make the ROM bad, look at what you said about SprintTV... How did you try to turn the SPRINTTV on when it's not in the ROM.... Now that's one for the books..{lol}:mrgreen:

did not say that it was a bad rom just that the programs did not work even after the cab fix that you posted the rom that I downloaded did have the sprint already installed that was posted with a time of the file of 1:39 pm
RUU_signed.mbh size 141,614,837 size now if that is one that was updated after I downloaded it then that may be why sprint tv was included I have been trying to be polite about this good luck I am done with this rom

I downloaded this and installed it on my US Cellular TP. I have one little request to make. I would like the Sprint stuff removed. The sprint TV and the icon for the Sprint Music store. You can call is an "all around ROM" and not sprint specific. I have one ROM loaded that had a Stock Market icon where the sprint TV is. That was cool to have. I know I am new and haven't donate to anyone. Because I haven't found the perfect ROM. But of the 7 I have tried so far, you are the closest. I will donate to the creator of the Perfect (for me) ROM. But this is what I would like to see.

1) The ability to add favorites to the TF3D Internet tab. There is 2 there, but one is where I don't visit much.

2) To drop the sprint music store icon

3) Change the Sprint TV to maybe a Stock Market search or something else.

4) (Not sure if this is possible, but to add 4 more email icons to the left side of the screen (in the email tab). I create a gmail address to address different things I do online. And limited to only 4 is a bummer.

Like I said I know I am new and this is a lot to ask, but if it can be done, it will be worth it for me to donate. :mrgreen:

dude, get ur wallet out and head over to the Psyki rom thread. it does all that (not too sure on #4 but 100% positive on the rest). plus its the prettiest and very very stable, good battery life too. hes updating it tonight but his last rom was sooo great

i highly suggest u try out psykirom 52809 and consider donating to him

i must admit the external links/description/writeups are a bit unclear...but damn if you dont like it flash to another rom...or better yet...cook your own.

thats why i dont post anymore on ppcgeeks...too many people talking **** on someone helping you and its not up to your "standards"...

if you dont like the emulators go buy a n64 or genesis off craigslist..bottomline..

psyki 6.5 is coming later tonight if u can wait that long. but i'm telling u, psyki 3 (wm 6.1) is far superior than any other 6.1 rom, it has all the great enhancements that make it better than 6.5 imho, try it, u wont be dissapointed

I will check back tomorrow. I really want 6.5, or I would have just stuck with the stock 6.1. But thanks for letting me know that the next will be a 6.5 version. I am getting pretty good at flashing Roms. But I really just want to find the Perfect (for me) Rom and this one is as close as I got do far.

IMO, normally you would be right, but I think most people that know Technology1 and his past posts and threads know exactly how he is with alot of things on these threads, the way he presents himself,and just his hyped up attitude that everything is perfect and will never admit if something is wrong is what IMO why most people are on the defense with him. Its a put your money where you mouth is kind of thing that some people are just tired of, again IMO. I guess the people that are familiar with him might know what I am talking about.
I think technology can be a usefull contributor to this communnity, I just think he needs to take a breath and take some advice and listen to some comments from others. But hey, like i said its just my opinion, and Tech is his own man, and I wish him the best..

well ur perfect rom didnt say it had to be 6.5 god damn just try psyki 3 man. 4 reals trust me ull love it. name 1 good thing about 6.5 besides the lock and i bet psyki 6.1 has u covered.

if ur so good at flashing roms this will be a breeze, its one of the fastest flashes ive ever encountered, ull be impressed by that alone

I've been watching your TCPMP thread for a while, Tech1. I was pretty excited to see you were making an "all included" ROM and was looking forward to flashing it because I have yet to see a well laid out set of instructions for installing.

Maybe it's just that nobody ever told you this before, but it is NOT cool to talk like an 11 year old script kiddie.. if you want people to respect you and back up your overly boastful claims, try posting in adult english.

That being said, I think you ARE onto something with this ROM. It does NOT run smooth as silk. I have every problem that has been mentioned here:

1. many apps won't run with the digital signing error
2. my TF3D screen's icons are off center (like your OWN screenshot in post #3)
3. Sprint TV and Sprint music ARE present in the menu and TF3D
4. FM Radio does NOT work on any Sprint Touch Pro, it should not be included
5. haven't heard this one yet, but I can't change ringtones, there are only 3 in the list and each one gives a "corrupt or missing" error message.
6. Despite everything you said, your "super special awesome" TCMPMP is NOT included and Coreplayer IS

Okay, now for the good:
It DOES run smoothly (the parts that DO work as advertised, anyway)
TF3D is smooth and works, MP4 video played great in Coreplayer, I've actually never seen that before, always played mp4s with WMPlayer because it supports acceleration
Youtube player works well, too. Nice to be able to choose hi or lo quality, and the hi quality mp4s play well, they are choppy on some other roms

I think you are onto something here, Tech1. I am not alone in wanting a ROM aimed specifically at media playback. There are plenty of other ROMS out there with different focuses, but I for one WANT a ROM that will play videos well OOB.

If you want to be taken seriously and want people to continue using your releases, take some responsibility. All things considered, this was pretty good for a first release. Keep improving, take the bugs and fix them, don't just say "what bugs, works fine"

For now, I'm [reluctantly] flashing back to EnergyROM.. or maybe I'll try Merdin's 6.5.. in any case, I just want my phone to ring again, even if I have to encode my videos in suck mode to play them right.

I also would like to see a rom aimed more at multimedia. I think what happened was he cooked a rom that he thought worked well and rushed it out due to excitement. Name one person on here who hasnt posted something out of excitment that they wish they would have took more time on. As loaded as this rom is, it needs to be tested for a few days before unrolling it because it's sure to have bugs. Tech1 is ALWAYS trying his best (maybe not the most organized fashon) to contribute and i thank him for that.
