Planning on adding more tests and roms before I make any threads about it, but that's where I'm at so far!

Also have some SPB bench statistics but they seem pretty inaccurate, expect my full procedure and a bigger list later!

I'm sorry, but I've tried all of Juicy's ROMs including the latest 8 version and they are no where near as fast as this new Mighty Silence ROM. In fact Juicy's rom was rather slow in some areas, especially boot time and qtv video performance. For example, youtube playback is very choppy. I measured video playback a good 5% slower than Silence/Mighty ROM for qtv videos. Boot up time, hell, probably 50% difference if not more. VSbenchmark doesn't tell the whole story. For video playback performance and filesystem speed Silence ROMs dominate. I think DCD will also have a very fast ROM once he gets all the issues worked out, but DCD's video performance still lags behind silences. I measure DCD's QTV video playback over 5% slower than silences as well. By the way I use coreplayer with the "gone in 60 seconds" sample clip taken from the benchmark thread we had a while back. For me benchmarks don't mean crap unless they translate to real work performance (ie, startup, programs launch speed, video playback, gui responsiveness, etc).

Tried to edit my earlier post about signal issues but it's not saving or it's just been a long day and my brain stopped working :)

So it's not just the Airave, I took a drive around for 15 minutes in areas I know I have full signal in. Never went over 1 bar and then 95% of the trip (and currently while back at home) it shows I am completely disconnected and not able to get any kind of phone signal. At that point I should at least be roaming if nothing else like I used to before I got the Airave. I flashed back to stock before my drive and the signal was perfect again, then flashed back to this ROM and took the drive around. I love the speed of this ROM but if I can not figure out why I can't get or keep a signal to make or receive calls, especially on the Airave in my house, I am going to have to go back to stock I guess :(

Now I really confused but happy. I found my work phone and called my TP and soon as the phone rang the signal meter showed full strength. I set both down for a few minutes and watched the signal meter and it showed full the entire time. Same when I made call (not to many of my friends up at this time of night lol.) So I am not sure why the signal meter shows no signal until a call is placed or received but I am happy I can stick with this great ROM

Double question here..... Has anyone found a way to get the glossblack.tsk to work on a 6.1 rom yet? Also, does anyone else ever have trouble entering text to post replies to the forum in opera? I have to enter everything from opera mini, its happened on a few different roms.

yeah i would really want to try this, but i'm trying desperately not to go back to 6.1. i love 6.5 for the most part, but the random 10 second freezes are getting to me.

yes i can't enter text with this ROM into Opera. I haven't tried other sites, but i was surprised because it's the first rom ever that i haven't been able to use my phone to enter stuff into ppcgeeks.
