Re: JD's Simple Carrier Clean WM6.5 Sprint ROM

Fantastic! Thank you so much - I feel a little silly that it didn't occur to me.

Anyhow, another question - I am on Bell Canada CDMA - I see that this has some bits of sprint in it - Is it safe to use my data plan with #777 even though it's labelled as sprint? This may be a dumb question but I don't want to get any surprise bills.

I am not very familiar with using the 'kitchen' so I just installed G53.0 050509 as is.

Should I be changing any settings on the phone from Sprint to bell? It all seems to work a treat.

Re: JD's Simple Carrier Clean WM6.5 Sprint ROM

Is there a cab to just update the rss hub?

Love this rom, but I've got two annoyances with it (well, a slightly earlier version of this) right now -

1) I use cootek touchpal keyboard. When entering email addresses in the TO field, I get a drop down with suggestions, and a seperate suggestion field at the bottom.. They tend to conflict (and if I choose the wrong one, hangs my phone for a bit) - disabling the htc keyboard doesn't help:(

and
2) rss hub - scrolling doesn't work in articles..

Does the new rom fix the scrolling in rss hub issue? Is there a way to get just the files needed for that?

cheers,
-mark

Instead of RSS Hub, try Viigo it has a lot more features and is pretty fun to use.

http://www.viigo.com/

or from you phone go to:

http://getviigo.com/

for the issue you are having when you go to enter the email address, hit enter on the To: line to bring up the contact list and select the contact from there. JD is working on a fix for this as far as i know.

Issue is when entering email addresses that aren't in my contact list..

it actually HANGS (and requires a restart) sometimes when I type the @ symbol.

I like rss hub (aka newsreader 2.0) as it allows automatic download of podcasts..

..but will give viigo a try for everything else..

(I actually tried sbsh's gonews.. didn't really like it that much.. it crashed and exited from time to time, and updates felt slower)

trust me, i know all about the issue. if you read teh thread we discussed it in quite a bit a detail. you pretty much have to add them to your contacts for now.

Am I the only one having this problem? I can't find any posts about this issue.

I haven't used this ROM yet, but I've used several other 6.5 ROMs and I have not experienced anything like you are seeing. I use BT and voice command a lot and I've had no problems. My most recent ROM is Silence 6.5 base V3

Can't tell if this thread is dead. JD, will there be an updated ROM posted with the fix you listed a few pages back. Better yet are you working on any new ROMS be it an update to this one or a separate one all together ?
