Telus HTC Touch Pro Upgrade
 
Lets start by saying I love my HTC touch pro. It's far batter than any other device i've had, including it's predecessor the UTStarcom 6700, which i would still be using if it was on Telus's network.

The Reason i'm here is to ask a few questions. There are sooo many cooked roms out there for WM 6.5 and 6.1. What I'd like to know is what is the best one for the bunch that will still allow me to use my HTC TP to it's full potential and more.

Things like internet sharing so I can use my "unlimited data plan" (teather without being "teathered") which is currently not part of TELUS's ROM. Things like google maps, which are part of the new android system and move as you move.

And still allowing me to use things like txt messages (sms), msn/yahoo, and full webbrowsing.

Plus i'd also like to be able to get my hands on an "official" telus rom incase i decide i need to go back or the phone gets broken and i need to send it in for repairs.

Is juicy's the best? Juicy took off remote desktop, so i'm just curious if it's the best rom?

there is no best rom..every 1 here will have a diff. opinion on who/what they like.. flash a few of the most popular ones to find what you like... and for the love of god SEARCH... you no how many times questions of this nature are asked a day... PLEASE SEARCH your questions before posting :-) Welcome to your new addiction

they're all the best! you just have to try them all until you find the one thats best for you!

try Juicy's MightMike's, NFSFAN's, GrooveROM just ported over to TouchPro and it's great.

MightMike is a telus user, so his rom should definitely work well on your touch pro(works well on my telus touch pro! but so do a lot of others! haha)

I have a Telus TP. nice phone. even better when flashed. I have Merdins 6.5. it is fast & stable. have you checked out the community project? http://sites.google.com/site/ppcgeek...om-information

I know these questions are posted daily and for my repetitiveness I do appoligize but i was just curious as to the best place to start.

The only question i have now, is. Did anyone make copies of the original Telus TP Roms?
