You're in the wrong thread, this is the TP1. If all you did was Task 29, then there's no problem, just flash the correct ROM. If you did flash a TP ROM to a TP2, my guess is you should Task 29 again & flash a TP2 ROM.

Not quite yet! I just put on Dinik Glass 29020. So far so good except the keyboard doesn't work and input settings don't give the choice of using the hardware keyboard, only touch and swype input.

Thanks!

Re: H|May 18|.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸. Energy .¸¸.·´¯ 6.5|21916 / 6.5.X|29020 * Sense 2019

I must say .. I had come close to moving on from my Touch Pro. Looking at all of these new Droid phones, etc. I always thought that the TP had such potential, but fell far short. Turns out, it was the stock 6.1 ROM that made this phone so boring and less useful than it should have been! I looked at all of the most popular ROMs -- Mighty, Juicy, Twisted -- but I just liked the look of Energy better and it has been kept up to date.

I had a lot of problems getting it installed and stable. The flashing and all was easy enough, but the first two (three?) times I flashed it it seemed buggy and locked up alot. Then I couldn't even get it to boot. After Task 29-ing it and then HardSPL-ing it (I don't know if these two processes are redundant, but I did them both anyway), I then installed the stock ROM, Task 29-'d and HardSPL'd it again and then flashed Energy one last time. Again, the processes I went through may have been redundant, but it worked for me. And I was having problems with my previous install of the stock ROM locking up, etc so it should not be construed as a fault with the Energy ROM. Everything now seems very stable, and I finally love this phone again!

Thanks NRG! This is a beautiful and highly functional ROM.

Wow, there's still updates for this rom... Hats off to Nrg. If 4g didn't exist, I'd probably be using this rom.

Everything works fine for me on plain Sense 29020. Of course, the hardware keyboard is selected by opening it. Try rebooting, if that doesn't work, Task 29 & flash again. If that doesn't work, you have a hardware issue. Search the thread for the word keyboard.

Does anyone know how to get the circle/navigation control to behave like it did in the stock ROM, i.e. zooming in/out on Opera and other programs, etc? I can't figure out through any of the Energy settings, and other programs how to get it to do that.

Thanks for the info. Although I have been flashing forever using my own cooked PPCK ROMS, I wanted to try and find something stable out of the box and this one is very nice and configurable. I did try rebooting, nada. Didn't know about task29 and that thread was a very good read. Once I give it a try, I'll report back.

Moose .. I had the same problems with my first flash of this ROM. I've never had the problem with flashing a stock ROM. FWIW, I think it's just a complication of flashing over old installs and has nothing to do with Energy.

I detailed my problems a few posts back, but the bottom line was that I had read in another thread that it was best to HardSPL/Task29, followed by flashing a stock ROM, and then flashing Energy. This may be more steps than necessary, but it worked for me and now I have a stable Energy install.

YAY! Finally got the keyboard working! Here are all the steps I did:
- Task29
- loaded stock ROM
- loaded Energy ROM
- hard reset (once using clear storage and once with buttons)
- soft reset

I did these as I was reading past posts and I believe that the last two steps were the ones that fixed it but the task29 is a good thing to do regardless between ROM flashes to ensure a clean flash.

Thanks to all for your assistance and NRGZ28 for the ROMs! We're still enjoying our phones and resisting to go to the dark side

FYI- based on reports in the GSM TP thread & my own experience, changing in call volume on May 15-18 21916 ROMs doesn't work properly. Seems to work fine on 29020, though.

@mooseman2- Glad you got it sorted out, thanks for the followup.
