This is my 3rd ROM of 6.5 and the only one that doesn't have HTC's CM Wifi internet sharing cooked into it....

also, it's the only one that I can't get the CM wifi sharing to work on! which really blows

Im pretty sure that by default this ROM has some tweaks to allow for internet sharing via USB, and I think that might be the problem as far as the wifi sharing.

Everything works just fine, it connects to the PC, sets up the network and such, but from the PC end, it just says that it's a local connection and cannot access the internet.

someone have any tips or hints before I pitch this ROM and go back to an older one? i really like this rom so far and dont wanna change... thanks guys

Hey mthieman, you care to export the Arcsoft registry from the 27 version and post it up for me?
It would save me a little time flashing.

Wifi internet sharing is under Start>Utilities>Wifi Internet Sharing
Once you open the program, it will instruct you on how to connect.

I was beginning to think I was the only one having these issues!! I have also tried every possible Arcsoft cab and tried importing the registry settings from a different 6.5 ROM. All with no luck.
Hopefully NRG will get it sorted out soon. But I dont wanna downgrade, Im having very good luck with this ROM so far, so I guess for now Ill settle for anly being able to send but not recieve

Funny thing is I spent two days on it a couple weeks ago and I had it working on the July 27th version. I just assumed it was still working until I saw your post earlier and started testing. NRG has been so busy I couldn't remember when I had it working last.

Just tried the background for all tabs and it didnt work at all, I just had a blurry image on all my tabs. But it uninstalled ok.
The weather cities Database works great.

yes, i know how to use the program, im saying that with the way the registry is set up for internet sharing for usb, that wifi sharing isnt fully connecting for some reason. im getting stuck with a local connection and no internet

My mistake. I use this feature frequently with no problems. I was at Best Buy recently buying a new computer. The rep wanted to show me the reviews for the laptop but their internet connections weren't working. I was able to get online using Energyrom and a Mac laptop. If you know the registry key I would be happy to look at mine and relay the info.
