still lookin for a fast, stable, clean, plain, 6.1 rom wit no xtra software, no custom boot screens...

dont like childish fruity colored shiet
i guess ill really have to cook my own =(

Just so you know it's incredibly easy to remove a boot screen or pretty much any visual modification. Boot screens have zero impact on performance anyway. If you want clean with no software you probably want Juicy or Mightymike. Juicy's rom (and mine) takes up more memory as a result of the shared modules, it is supposed to do that for performance reasons. With Juicy and my rom you'll notice solid performance even with 90% memory usage.

Well I've been using 6.5v3 for about a day and a half and I love it. I've been trying some of the 6.5 apps found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=65584

I can confirm the Gullum Quick Launcher and the Quick Launcher Editor work great.

The best Twitter panel for 6.5 is Artesea's.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511919

Titanium Notifications also works great.

The problem for me is I can't find a backup program that works... the Sprite backup I have completely screws up my phone with 6.5 and it won't even let me clear storage or hard reset. I have to reflash rom from bootloader.

Arcsoft mms doesn't want to cooperate either. What is everyone else using for mms? I'm on Sprint btw.

Ever Try Dashwire it works great and nice for all kinds of content....

psyki, I got a couple questions for you!

1) Do you think/know if it matters whether the amount of programs on a rom makes it faster or will free up Program memory to make it run better?! There are a ton of programs I DO NOT use & was wondering if I removed them would it free up program memory on the rom resulting in better speeds & performance?! To give you a detailed list so you can understand me better:
Internet Explorer,
Windows Live,
Messenger,
Games,
Help,
Opera Mobile,
Quick GPS,
Search,
Remote Desktop Mobile,
RSS Hub,
Search Widget,
Streaming Media,
PHM Registry Editor,
G-Alarm,
Java,
Core Player,
Google Maps,
JetCet Print,
& Skyfire!
I put all the names of these programs in hopes to see if its possible...........& to see if I can score some simple instructions on how to remove them from this rom! If its true than how would I go about removing all those programs from the rom (I'm using 6.5 Ver3)! Is it even possible with the last kitchen Silence put out for 6.1?!

2) If I wanted to add my own programs to the rom could I cooked the cab itself into the rom or would I have to use the "OEMizer" program to do that!

3) Does ANYBODY know a good source of .gif wallpapers for Slide2Unlock, or does anybody have any.....or knows somebody that has any?!

:dontknow:

Dude..you sound as smart as a can of rocks. You have nothing to offer, yet you take this mans rom and bash it. Well, here is an idea...make your own and break your phone with it...then you can go kick rocks and complain to ahhh yourself.

You can never please everyone...

Try another ROM would be the best suggestion! Or take some time and cook one up!

None of those programs will affect the speed of your device if they are not running, and almost every single one is on pretty much every rom out there. They will take up storage space but that's pretty much it. If you want to add programs simply install the .cab, OEMizer is for chefs when they build roms. EDIT: oh yeah, if you are using his kitchen then OEMizer can help you create some OEM to use in the kitchen. There are other tools out there like ervius package creator that will turn cab files into OEMs.

Any 480x640 jpg or gif will work as a background in S2U2, if you did even the slightest research into S2U2 you'd know this. Or you can check out the cab I attached, it's a collection of S2U2 wallpapers I put together. When you install it it will put the wallpapers in \My Documents\My Pictures\S2U2 and configure S2U2 to automatically change the wallpapers I believe every 30 minutes :D

Just tested it, it works fine for me. I sent a test message, sat at the home screen and waited - notification icon showed up, I clicked the top bar, then clicked the New Email notification, and it brought me right to the inbox with the new message on top.

Re: [May.18.09] *Silence Roms* [-6.1 -6.5 -Rhodium -Kitchens]

Amost done with my new rhodium project. I worked very hard on making the rhodium fully stable with about a dozen fixes. So anything that will never work is removed and anything that can work has been patched.

So theres only one last thing I need to fix. When viewing my music with audio manager I cant scroll to the last song it seems to kind of over scroll so you can select it.
If anyone knows of a fix for this PLEASE POST!!
Then I will be done.

This is based on the T-Mobile Rhodium. I have fully skinned it to match all the colors of the T-Mobile device.
Also since there has been complaining about my themes and charactors and sounds and animation.
I have removed everything for a professional feel yet with that silence spice of speed!!
