hey silence users - i'm trying to install tsowentaskbar3v1.4 on top of Silence ROM X 6.1 (5/13 ROM) and all the icons are installing except for the signal icon -- any tips? trying to make the silence X look like SR9's icons

You have to change the signal bars from 5 to 7 or vice versa in the registry, look in tsowens thread,1sy post, it tells how to do it

Silence,

First time user on your ROM. I have to say I'm very impressed. I have used MightyROM for quite some time, but decided I need to try other ROM's to make my own decision on which one I like. I have to say yours is very nice. Mike's is good, don't get me wrong but like I said I am very impressed by your work.

here's the reg edit from tsowen's thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=taskbar+icons

Registry Hack to Change from Sprint 7 Bars to Telus 5 Bars (only 6 & 4 bars show up)
<characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA" translation="filesystem">
<parm name="SignalStrengthLevel" datatype="integer" value="5"/>
</characteristic>

5 = Telus Thick bars
7= Sprint Skinny Bars updated 11/25/08

Just tried it. Terrible. Almost rendered mozilla.com then crashed. I didn't expect much though since i tried the last build and it would barely start up without crashing.

I just installed version 10 (WM6.5) on my TP, and it works great, very fast, seems stable and does not consume a lot of memory.

The only trouble I'm having is that the Full QWERTY and the compact QWERTY keyboards do not work; the first one shows empty keys, and the second one does not show up, I only see a blank section with noise.

Any clues about this? I really use the real keyboard, but sometimes it's practical to have these keyboards working.
