Create ROM Dump?

I just got a new Touch Pro and want to create a new ROM dump from my device before I load a custom ROM since the only ROM I can find is a "pre-release" version and want to make sure I can go back to the original if needed.

What program do I need to run for a complete rom dump? Can anybody walk me through this?

Did you check the difference in version number on that pre-release and the one installed on your phone? You don't have to download it, just look at the file name and you'll see the vesrion number so you can compare it to yours. I'm pretty sure it's the same. There's some good posts around here about how to do rom dumps but I can't find them. I only looked for about 10 seconds though. I'm on my way out the door so, I'll check back later to see if got what you needed.
