well, that was odd....

I finished flashing my device with your preview and was liking it. installed a couple cabs. everything was running great. went to start/settings/today/items/and unselected the titanium (cant remember its name.... when I went back to the desktop I couldnt select start to pull up my menu. soft reset didnt help. so now Im doing a hard reset and will try that immediatly after its all up and running before I add anything. the only thing I could select on the desktop was the taskmanager thingiy.

I had the start menu problem too but thought it was due to not hard resetting after flashing. Did the hard reset and regained function of start button and still have it. As for Opera, you could easily install that on your own. I installed Opera 9.5 build 16643, seems to be working very well with the new rom thus far.

after I flash I always do a hard reset. and when I first started having the start button issues I hard reset then. but it came back.

yes I know I can install the opera flavor of my choosing. it wasnt a criticism it was an observation.

Decided to take the plunge and try the beta!

One thing I noticed so far, when you try to get Titanium weather to update it says "There is no application associated with "TitaniumWeather" Run the application first, then open this file from within the application." Not sure if that is a ROM error or something on my end?

Second, a question, don't really notice much difference immediately, any way you could give us a tenative changelog?

I'll keep using it and let you know anything else I find!

I believe you actually have to install Titanium Weather although it shows up on the screen. I got the same error and installed version 4.2 and all ways well. Don't forget to place the fixed mortscript file in the titanium weather program files folder either.

Yeah, I have to go back to the previous version. Same problem with the Start button. I tried to find remove programs but it doesn't appear to be there so I can't try to fix it by removing other things. Fast as hell though BMX. Looking forward to the next version of it.

If you can get the start button to work go to Start>Settings>System. Remove Programs is towards the bottom. For me it shows up under Microphone ACG and above Text Messaging.

Well, maybe that helps to explain it. I just ran windows explore and went to the windows/start menu/programs directory and everything is there as expected but when I go to windows/start menu/system there is nothing there. Unless that is ultimately some sort of a protected folder so that you can't see anything from within Windows explorer. I just run Resco Explorer and have the same program. Very strange.
