Are you using the 4.25 release? If so, I would try to reflash... It is posted in the change log that the ringtone corruption is fixed. I can't personally speak on this, because I'm using the previous 6.5 release; but I use my own ringtones.

I'm running most current 4/25, and the corruption issue is better, but still not fixed.
On 4/21, within minutes of soft resetting, all audio alerts would fail. On this 4/25 ROM I get some more leeway, but audio alerts WILL still fail. I just get an hour or two now, as opposed to a couple minutes.

For the record, upon flashing most up to date ROM and letting customizations run, I not only performed a hardware hard reset, but also a clear storage. Ringtones are copied onto internal memory (\windows\rings), and the only programs loaded so far are AEB, PockeTwit, Skyfire, Skype, and Palringo.

It's annoying, but the rest of the ROM is pretty rad.

I am having the problem also. I have the latest and its not fixed. I flashed, hard rest, and soft rest.... the whole 9 and the problem is still there. I have a question are you guys changing the alerts that were preset or leaving them alone? If leaving them alone fixes it ill just have to get used to them.

Agreed, but I'm just chalking it up to the fact that we're running software that wont even be officially released for another 2 weeks (let alone actually running on commercial devices for months after). I'm confident it will be resolved, but it is pretty frustrating to look down and see you've missed something.

I'm just lucky I'm a recording engineer, and need to have my phone silent most of the day...

I'm changing the actual main phone ringtone, and setting up custom ringtones for friends, but I'm leaving all other alerts alone.
Using MP3's.

My mp3's don't even work. They come up with the same error.

Im having the same corrupt ringtone problem. Newest Mightyrom5. I have a lot installed, so not sure what could be conflicting.
