S2U2 for winmo 6.5

Anybody get this to work on winmo 6.5? I tried 6.5 and it just kinda half starts.
I talked about this in the mighty thread and I recieved some great alternatives, though I rather just stick to that great program. Any thoughts on how to make it work?

Worked well for me on Copper and is currently working well on PsykiROM (love this ROM). I can't get the wallpaper to work though. I did accidentally install the QVGA version on Copper and that screwed things up. I'd try removing it and manually deleting its folder in the Programs Files folder if it's still there after uninstall.

You need to soft-reset after you change wallpapers.

S2U2 works fine on Juicy 7.

s2u2 works flawlessly on JD's roms/kitchens

Only thing I changed and Im not sure if its needed is the Display Mode. From Direct draw to Raw Buffer. Im just in the habit of doing that though it seems to work on Direct Draw. Ive been changing that for a while.

Talk me through what you did.

I downloaded from the site 1.62. Installed cab to storage card. Successful. Soft restart. Didn't automatically setup, that's ok. Hit it from the menu, doesn't work. Work through settings, still doesn't work. Soft reset three more times.

What did you do different. Do you have GDI, DirectDraw, Raw?

It should work fine out of the box with no configuration needed. Make sure you downloaded the VGA version? Also you don't have to soft-reset if you change the wallpaper or other settings. Just run iLock which closes S2U2, then run S2U2 to start it again.

Also you might consider installing it to the device and not internal storage. I remember back from the Apache days that the storage card is "shut down" during standby mode and programs running there might have problems. I don't know if this is true anymore but frankly I've never even come close to running out of storage on my device :)
