:headbang: No I have to find a different program because for some reason it won't resize in MS office picture manager. I think it is protected, need to dig more. But so far this rom is running great, the only thing I ran into with it so far is that on the initial sync with my pc it seemed to take alittle longer than usual but after the first sync it went as fast as it did before. Great job RSTG. And thanks for that post.

Mobile shell, can be deactivated by deleting \windows\startup\spbmobileshell.lnk . This is wm6.1, and if you don't like quickmenu, you can delete \windows\startup\quickmenu.lnk to get rid of that too. With quickmenu though, if you click on the start-icon, you get quickmenu, click the start-text and you get the old school menu.

Ah yes, I would like to get some screen shots of how everyone has customized their 3 LifeStyle layout screens. I can easily duplicate them and tonight I'll be also looking for a replacement to their "old" looking background...

:headbang:Would love to post more shots RSTG, but can't seem to get pics to all screens. Only the one lifestyle screen. And I put a wallpaper on the today screen but it is light, nothing came up like it usually did to change the transparency level any ideas?

For screen shots, I open spb screenshot, then set a 5 or 10 second delay with the right soft key. They will be saved in \my documents. I'll be digging into backgrounds more this evening... I also think I'll make the left screen of the lifestyle screen 9 speed dials icons. That's why I'm looking for screenies so I can get some ideas.

The battery life is short. I'm a moderate user and I'm getting about three- four hours.

when you have the keyboard open, there is a little arrow pointing up. press that and it will give you an option to change the keyboard. to have whatever keyboard you want pop up automatically, look into SIPchange....it works like a charm

this could be good for some. Found this over at modaco.com forum posted by turborepu quote:

don't think anyone has missed the amazing pre release of this sweet ap!

I'm a mod freak and there are somethings i would like to change in this prog.

like the programs "tab" only has 3 rows. i want to make this 4. anyone with a bit of experience possibly from the 2.xx series know where to do it?

the configs are simple ZIP files. Just open the DAT file as a ZIP file or rename it to ZIP.

in order to edit the file you need to put in the password which is:
b0fm18zq

Maybe we could custom tailor it and post the modded DAT files collected here. Most of the 2.xx series of mods/skins are portable with a little or no modification except renaming of some picture files (same password in 2.xx). the possibilities are endless

Please remove or correct my post if I'm violating/doubleposting something here.

qa_layouts.dat - This contains only XML files. 61 to be precise lots of interesting stuff! (tried to change the Iconspacing in programs to 24. didn't get my 4 icons row though )
vp_menu_btn.dat - Built in Icons
va_misc_now.dat - Built in system icons
vpw_bkg_now - portrait
vlw_bkg_now.dat - mostly contact icons landscape
va_weather_64.dat - weather Icons largest with XML file
vp_bkg_now.dat - Menu frame

You can also rename any of the existing folders by going to that same key and changing the 'Text' string in the relevant key. You don't have to rename the key itself but may want to for consistency.

I knew I had this one somewhere, and I use it for assigning SMS to PocketCM:

Navigate to:
HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Shell>Rai>:MSINBOX

Change key labeled 1 to you SMS-Chat exe.
e.g: "\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"
Note: Dont forget the "", they are important.
Restart and try.

This update contains the new version of the official release, and I took the liberty of customizing the Life Style Layout. Added a couple screens, used #3 as a program launcher for games, and the 4th for utilities that I use alot. See updated pic's in Post #1!

Here is a "gimped" version.... All the sprint apps are out, and a few other extras like touchpal. This is still made for sprint, but should work no problem. For others, somewhere there are carrier cabs that should make it work great for you too!

Is any one else experiencing missed calls and text? When I woke up this morning (7am) I received messages from the day before starting around 3:30. There is some kind of delay, I don't believe its a service issue.

This is something I'm aware of. It's from the .cab install as well. You can download the .exe installer to fix it. And the .exe install won't change your settings, but will fix that icon issue.

I go to the SPB site to download the exe to fix the settings icons but it keeps saying install unsuccessful. Has anyone fixed the icon problem? How do I do it?
