If I flash my phone, and then put on juicy's rom for example, will all of my programs that I have downloaded be deleted? What about my contacts and messages? If I try to reload a backup from the stock, will it reload on a new rom?

Any help is appreciated.
Anything saved on the device will be lost. Storage card will be safe. Easiest thing to use for the backup at least that ive found is PIM backup. Sprite backup is good but if you go from 6.1 to 6.5 ROMS and back ive noticed a few minor quirks. But PIM Backup should carry over regardless. I use both and have not ever had a huge issue. PIM backup will take care of your contacts, calander, tasks, text, stuff like that. programs will need to be reinstalled. Sprite backup will make a image of your device. so you wouldnt have to reinstall anything. it would do it for you.
