Random Hard reset
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone else is having random hard resets. I normally flash roms when new ones come out and havent had this problem before. I recently was running the new "copper" rom for a while and decided to go back to Mighty Rom 4.16. Upon doing so i have had frequent hard resets and lockups (to the point where it only gets as far as the Touch Pro screen). I then flash back to Copper to see if it was a Rom thing and am still experiencing it. I have recently flashed back to stock rom to see if it continues and if so take it in to the store for a exchange....has anyone else seen this? Any ideas what could have caused this? I would like to know something so if i do have to take it in i could tell them something so they can see that there is a problem and either fix it or give me a replacement (instead of just telling me since they cant see the problem occur that i would have to bring it back when it does it again)....any help is greatly apprecieated. |

Re: Random Hard reset
+1 for bad device. Same thing happened to me. The Sprint techs performed diagnostics on it and said "it failed every test"

This just happened to me in the middle of the night last night. :(

Re: Random Hard reset
happened to me twice in the last week on two different roms. I don't know if this is crazy or not, but it seems to happen when I soft reset after using the WVD/TCPMP player and a video or two has problems loading so I move on to the next and kill TCPMP a few times. Not sure if it's just coincidence, but I don't want to try again :)

Re: Random Hard reset
Brought my phone in. They ran diags, and everything came back perfect. So I might have found what wrong with mine.... Do you happen to be adding in a provxml file named something along the lines of mxipupdate_oemoperators_104.provxml when you customized your kitchen? If you are, try naming it mxip_zzzmyProv_999.xml. You don't want it interfering with the Sprint stuff that gets changed when there is an update to the package that contains them.... look at this link... http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms889522.aspx
