no its just that in my rom I actually only use one ringer so I just took them out since I liked the new windows default ringer ..... but they are in the kitchen

Thanks this worked :) I had to move them out of the windows/rings folder and into windows and set to show all files. Thanks bro I needed alert-chirptwice for my text messages :)

you can add as many rings and alarms that you want in the htc ringtone suite oem.

drop the files in that folder and then edit initflashfiles to coorespond with the new files. it isnt that complicated and gives you control over you ringtones alerts and alarms

JD,

I've been running a ROM built using your kitchen since last night. Everything is running nice and smooth. It is incredibly fast (i changed PP to 24) and have not had a single hicup as of yet. Thanks for all your work.
I did forget to include a SIP in my rom though ...lol..hopefully I can add this via CAB.

other issues i have not seen posted:
1) there is no in call volume control. hitting the volume side buttons changes the ring/system volume. (HTC volume control was selected in teh kitchen so that might be the issue)
2) when in teh phone main screen it shows 2 contacts above the dial pad. hitting enter on voicemail takes you to voicemail settings. shouldn't it call voicemail?

JD, i did not get to state this in teh previous thread but i like the new icons at the top for the battery, charging battery, and 1x. this newest buld seems lightning fast. i may try to build another rom tonight to see if maybe some of my selections are causing my memory card to not appear.

Start Menu Issue - Good TaskManager Needed

Start Menu issue: Click Start, Click X, now Start Menu does not work any more.

After further testing it seems it is an issue/conflict between the new 6.5 Start Menu and Task Managers that close apps using the X button.

wkTask will do this. I added "Start" as an exception but although it worked for a while, it still on occassion disabled the Start Menu after a while.

An HTC Taskmanager from a cab had this issue as well. But it was from a cab that is probably outdated. I then installed the new HTC Taskmanager option in JD's latest kitchen with the excluded today screen thing and the Start Menu issue is not present in that scenario

Does anyone know of a good way to see what programs are running and close them? And to be able to close apps using the X button? And that will not mess up the Start Menu?

Alarm doesn't like it should.

I set alarm 4 which is pretty loud, and when it goes off, it's something very soft that's nto even on the list.

Any solution w/ this?

Thanks.

as strange as this sounds, i am going back to the G5 41009 kitchen. the G52x 6.5 21500 Kitchen is not rhodium friendly and i have too many hours into that to abandon it (i really dont care for the 6.5 today page at all)

i am willing to give up the ability to edit the page pool and a bit of speed in the O/S to keep all of the rhodium port intact.

with that being said...

thank you JD i will continue to be a supporter of your excellent work and try and contribute what i can to help

I would say it's the biggest part of the day lol, but i usually don't use the stock alarm. I use G-alarm but was just to lazy to install and set up last night. I'm sure it will work though becuase it has worked with all the other 6.5 builds. So it's not really a fix but it is a solution to the problem

Me & JD are aware of this issue, I actually contacted him last night to see if his rom was the same way. Looks like its the 21500 Build.

The temporary fix for this would be to go into sounds & notifications and set the REMINDER ringer to the alert you want for your alarm.

for some reason it's using the reminder notification as the alarm sound.

I personally am looking into this on my own personal build.

If anyone has any ideas, please don't hesitate to PM me or post it here :)

Re: JD's G52x ROMs and Simple Axe Kitchen

Ok I have searched and searched for an answer to my problem, I just got my rom the way I like it from JD's new kitchen, awesome btw.

I'm having a problem with the "htc" comm manager, and I had a different rom that had a working old school 3 button (phone, wireless & bluetooth) comm manager that was also linked to the right softkey when titanium was settled on the Time. How can I get that back or add it in, it seems to be the only real good way to enable/disable both wireless and bluetooth.

Re: JD's G52x ROMs and Simple Axe Kitchen

ok, so i flashed to the provided ROM and still no memory card. i flashed back to G5 32609 (21198 ) and no memory card. flashed back to G5 32009 (21195) which is what i used prior to G52x (21500) and never had an issue with the memoary card. now 21195 does not show the card either. is it possible the card went bad?

**edit**
nevermind, i turned the phone off, pulled the card, put it back in, turned the phone back on and now it works. how odd is that?

JD,

I finally got a screen shot of the extra icon in the office folder....

Very weird. Any advice????
