New ROM no file explorer
 

Created a new ROM, once got it up and running saw that there was no file explorer only way i can move around is thorough total commander, but i like Fexporer just cause it isnt so cumbersome. For simple easy tasks fexplorer is great. i also installed the extension in the kitchen and it didnt make a difference. It doesnt show up in programs or start menu.

There anywhere/place i can get the default cab for File explorer?

I don't know of any cab for that, but maybe you are just missing the shortcut. Did you look in your windows directory for the actual program? It's named fexplore.exe. If it's there, just create a shortcut with total commander and put it in the Windows\start menu\programs folder.

i tried searching but i did find somthing interesting dont know if you guys knew about it...

Nice find. He said he even tried to install that one with the kitchen but it still wouldn't come up. I used to use it on my Mogul back in the day, but have become a total commander fan since. That cab should fix him right up though.

so it does replace it? its not just an add-on to the existing FExplorer?

Yep, it replaced it. I just made sure by installing it on my phone and it replaced the fexplore.exe file.

i installed it on my phone and it never installed, it just hangs and never ends up installing :( i think that you do need a copy of file explorer in order for it to work

what about my suggestion above in post #2? Well, it's probably too late now cause that program replaces the fexplore file.

sorry forgot to reply back to that one, it isnt even in the directory, i looked multiple of times, even tried taking it from sis diamon and gf TP and apparently doesn't let you
