touch pro tethering problems
 

i just flashed my phone with mighty rom 4.16 and i thought i could tether the phone and get internet on the laptop. when i connect the usb cable i click internet share then click connect and the phone says "check usb connection" any ideas to fix this problem

Do you have Async installed on the laptop?

normally you open the program and press "Connect" first BEFORE plugging the cable in. once the cable it plugged in, it should recognize it and start the tethering connection

Do NOT connect the USB cable until after you hit CONNECT. Your computer must install the device as a network device. If you connect the USB before this your computer is seeing an active sync/windows mobile device center device.

This should take care of your problem. Make sure that you delete the (extension) file from your registry. HKLM>COMM>InternetSharing If it is not there, then you are fine. This file supposedly allows Sprint to see that you are tethering.
