PPCGeeks - Copper v.0.0.0.1 [6.5.21500 Build 21500] [16MBPP] [UC Compatible]

Anyone know the reason why phone as a modem is on by default.....

Under advanced config/menu/more settings/connections, I have already tweaked data to disconnect after 1 minute. Just wonedering why phone as a modem is enabled. I've never needed to use it a modem, not going to use it anytime soo. Can I disable that function without any reprecussions...

Phone as Modem is for tethering. Disable it if you don't need to do any tethering. I have it disabled and everything else works normal. Just turn it back on if you have "reprecussions".

I'll have to try that as well. Because altho somone else told me to unlock the phone, when the phone goes to that 3 multi color page, it says phone is unlocked.

But I will definately be trying both suggestions today when I get home!

hi, been busy with work and came back to this thread and it has about 30+ pages i havent read yet XD but im wondering if anyone is havign the problem

1. if they are in text messages and they open up the KB and it goes back to the home screen

2. Opera 15613 crashes all the time

only thing i have installed is Black S2A and Device Lock 1.1

It will always say "Security Unlocked" at the top of the bootloader screen. Even a brand new locked phone will say it. Don't let that fool you. Just follow the instructions in that link i posted above.

3 way calling seems to not work from my personal testing. I get on a call and then click over by hitting the answer button then dial my other contact and it gives a recording about needing the area code. Anyone else have any insight on this?

I can confirm issues with 3 way calling, didn't work for me either. I also have problems just answering a call when it comes through, call waiting, i hear the notification that someone is calling in but it doesn't display on the screen until it is to late to answer the call, this has happened everytime someone has tried calling me while i have been on a call.

You will need a regeditor on your phone cause you will want to toggle back and forth with this setting sometimes. Setting to 0 will return the beloved old 1-column mobile browsing.

You know it would be nice if these chefs would use some kind of Bug Tracking so that others can easily see what has and has not been reported. Bugzilla or Bugtracker.net are the first two that pop up in google. We then can take some load off PPCG server which has been pretty laggy lately.
