GREAT NEWS!!!! (6.5 Roms Unknown Caller Issue)

1 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone, I been testing multiple 6.5 Roms, and all of them have the issue, where if you use the Lock function and a call comes in, no matter what the name will be unknown.

Well I found this program that so far shows signs of working. Once I installed, the calls name displays.

Help me test it out.

Hey Grey, for furture refrence when making a thread about a program try and get as much info on it to help those who are iffy about it and so theyll have something to go off of. Post your results first then ask others about there experience. Thanks bro for posting though.

heres the link to the Developers site. http://www.kwatts.net/netcallerid/

Description:
It's basically an enhanced Caller ID. On incoming SMS or phone calls a window pops up that displays:
- The full name of caller.
- Address of caller with a map link.
- The number of FTC and caller complaints (to tell if it’s a spam call).
- Telco name and location (can tell what carrier the call is from).
- Relatives of caller (with age).
- Criminal History.

Other features include ability to add the caller to the contacts book, return the call, and look at past calls.

Release Notes:
- NetCallerID waits until the call is answered or finished before doing the network calls. For the most part, the network connection is unavailable until the phone call is ended.
- If roaming is enabled NetCallerID waits until your out of roaming.
- All history of calls are in the program files\netcallerid\calllogs directory in html format. You can view these with Opera or Pocket IE.
- The setup automatically starts the program. I also put it in \Windows\Startup to start when you re-start the phone.

Will most likely work only in the US.
Net Caller ID is very alpha. Use at your own risk and stuff.

Thanks sorry about that, im a noob at making topics here.

So far its been working well for me, my main issue with the 6.5 roms was the Unknown Caller bug. This seems to work so far.

Not really people you will have to remember that 6.5 is beta for now and the versions that we have been getting outside of 21169 is not designed for an HTC device

Still need more testers.

It seems like the program needs to be open once upon a start up.

Going to test some more, looks promising so far.

*Sigh* Its working then not working at times :(.

I will continue to see if I can find temp fixes for this Issue :(.
