ROMs genealogy - work in progress

I'm trying to create a graph of ROMs and there relationship.
Lets start with roots - where the chefs start - first order ROMs.

Ia. Sprint stock ROM
Ib. Leaked ROM versions (21042,21202/3 etc...)
Ic. OEM and OEMized cabs from various sources + custom cabs (thanks no2chem and others!)

Next we have master chefs. They build ROMs with Ia,b,c and distribute custom kitchen.
They spend time studying actual interfaces, understand dll versions of SYS files.
These ROMs have their own tweaks and style and are not a simple mix of standard tools.
- JD, Mightymike, Juice are the master chefs with there own ROMs.
- These are second order ROMs
- Any other master chefs?

Then there are derivatives/extensions of master chefs ROMs. These are slight tweaks/extensions to master chef kitchen.
Most ROMs here fall into this 3rd order.
- Usually these ROMs are loaded with games/soft
- There are good for people who starting flushing there PPC and want maximum functionality (sometimes useless though) and minimal effort.
- Sometimes these ROMs just change pagepool size and nothing else.
- Another popular example is adding various modifications of TF3d or custom themes.
- These ROMs can be release as kitchen as well, but again, they rely on somebody else's work.

So if one knows the ROM heritage he can expect certain features/function. Lets say ROM build on SYS 21202,
based on JD kitchen, pagepool set to 24M, added black S2A, HTC calc.
I know 21202 in WM6.5, JD has pretty clean ROM to start with, pagepool is finally 24 and I always used S2A.
HTC calc never was of use for me but otherwise this is the ROM I will flush.

It would be very helpful to have in one place
1. Features of major versions of SYS and DLL.
2. Master Chefs list and there distinguishing features.
3. "Inheritance" (which master kitchen was used) for the 3rd order ROMs.
4. Anything else that will help navigate through miriad of ROMs.

I know that the community ROM site on google is live but it is and does not show the tree structure I discuss above and is outdated.

Please post your knowledge here!

Dude, what are you trying to accomplish in the 1st post? It really made no sense to me... If you are wanting to tell
Quote:

JD, Mightymike, Juice
that they do a good job, tell them. But good luck with this...

Re: ROMs genealogy - work in progress

If I understand the first part:
The idea is to catalog the WHERE the ROMS come from for exaple we know 21040 & 21042 is from the Touch Pro2.
But where did say 20764 come from?

I think THAT would be nice I've often wondered.
