Is there a custom ROM that allows forced roaming?
 

Hello,

I want to force my phone on VZ while I'm at work because sprint's service is not reliable. On my 700wx I used to be able to set roaming networks only but now I only have sprint and automatic. Is this something that can be cooked into a ROM? Thanks

Most custom ROMs allow a forced roaming state. If the ROM doesn't you should be able to install the attached file, which should add the option to be able to set forced roaming.

The attached file works on the stock ROM, but I'm not 100% sure it will work with a custome ROM, so it's up to you if you wanna try it.

this is something you can do with ANY rom.

from dialer:

Menu (bottom right)
Options
Services
Network Service / Get Settings

Choose "Roaming Only"

I have same issue as you. I think the best solution would be software that would operate on a schedule and do this for you at times you choose... (like at the office). It would be a great feature for G-Profile.

Actually, no, not with any ROM. The Sprint stock ROM does NOT include the option to go Roaming Only. That is why I attached the cab.

Most(haven't tried them all, so I can't say for sure :mrgreen: ) custom ROM's have the option built into their ROM's tho(as I stated).

In some ROMs (like Juicy's) there are options for "Home only", "Standard", "Roaming Only", "Automatic-A" and "Automatic-B". Does anyone know what the Automatic ones are for?
