Just remember that the TP doesn't have a real scanner built-in. These programs simply use the camera to take a picture of it and then try to read the bar code from that picture. It can be a bit cumbersome but it does work but it WILL NOT be as fast and as efficient as a real barcode scanner.

The barcode scanning application on the G1 seems to work quite well. Which one is that?

Also, i just did some testing and barcorama is accurate.

yeah, but its just so hard to hold it VERY steady....
