Help!!! Reverting Back to Sprint Settings

In efforts to get my Sprint TP GPS to work I was trying to be creative and flashed it with Verizon Radio as per |||bored||| instructions (yes, he did recommend against it but I did it anyhow...)

Now, whenever I try to call a number I get a VZW guy saying that I can't make any calls. I changed the Radio back to Sprint but I get the same results.

I think I need to go back and re-program the phone.
Can someone help me how to to that?

Thank you!

You can flash it with the Sprint shipped rom that is in the Stock Roms sticky. Or you can try to do a Return To New EPST command by dialing ##RTN#. Or have you tried installing a sprint carrier cab?

Here you go. http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=carriers%2F
Just wanted to add that flashing a verizon radio will not have that effect on a sprint phone. It had to have been soemthing else you did.

Yes you are correct.

I did the ##RTN# and trying to "clear" it. Its asking for the unlock code.

Is this a unique code or known to everyone.

THANKS in advance.

It's a unique code. You would normally have to call sprint to get it, but this guy wrote a little program for it. It's a very common program used by sprint ppc owners. Get it here: http://www.baf.cc/bafmsl

EDIT: Here is a thread about that program on ppcgeeks. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=43560

You might want to do some more research before you do that RTN command. It might erase things that you need...similar to hard reset.

Yeah, I didn't do the RTN clear. It seemed too risky. Instead, I called Sprint tech support to help reprogram my phone, it didn't do anything. I still have that roaming sign and still am on the Verizon network.

I am putting on stock rom back in. It is customizing right now. We'll see what happens.

Stock shipping rom .exe plus reprogramming will fix it.

can you elaborate the "reprogramming" part?

Because it still isn't working.

I went into Phone > Options > Services > Roaming > Automatic

It still gives me the Roaming Icon at the task bar. When I try to call someone, VZW announcement comes up.

When I make the Roaming option "Sprint Only". I get no service "bars".

So how can I reprogram so that this phone will work again?

Thanks again.
