Help: Not able to active sync

Excuse my newbisim (I created this word, lol) but for some reason I am not able to have a active sync with my pc. It always shows an error in the Windows Mobile Device screen. Its probably nothing since I tried to run the RUU and it shows that I'm able to update the current rom. I'm not sure what it is. Not sure if its the MightyRom 4.15, Norton 2009, or a wire problem. Since I'm able to update a rom in the RUU does that mean I do have an active sync? I'm just scared I'm gonna brick this phone if I update to MR 4.16 with that error right there.

Re: Help: Not able to active sync

start>settings>connections> USBTOPC> and uncheck ""enable faster data synchronization" or "enhanced usb"

I had a similiar issue that wouldn't allow me to sync my phone with my computer. What i found is that, my security software application (Trend Micro) needed to be configured so that it would accept .exe files to run. From what i've experienced with Norton, is that it's very picky about what it allows to access.

Re: Help: Not able to active sync

if you want to update best way is to put the phone in bootloader mode
(volume down button+ power button then softreset while holding)
while in bootloader your computer wont recognize your phone or even show its connected but you can still flash all the roms you want! this is the safest and best was to do it.

How to Flash Via PC:

1.download the ruu.zip attachment
2.unzip to your desktop
3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU)
4.Place phone in bootloader mode (power button while holding volume down button)
5.open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
6.follow the RUU on screen instructions from there

you could also try flashing from sd card!
Flash from microSD Card (Thanks to MadlyAlive):

1. Make sure you backup anything that is necessary to your day to day operations! At a minimum, please perform an ActiveSync to Outlook or your Exchange server prior to flashing!
2. Rename the custom ROM NBH file from RUU_Signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh
3. Copy RAPHIMG.nbh to the root of your microSD Card.
4. Hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. While you're still holding those 2 buttons, press the reset button with your stylus.
5. When your Touch Pro tells you to do so, press the power button to begin the flash process. If you do not get the message to press the power button to flash, there is a mistake in the name of the NBH file or you do not have the file at the root of your microSD card.
6. When flashing is complete, perform a soft reset.
