installing cabs after upgrading?
Ok, all these rom updates are driving me crazy, not necessarily in a bad way :). I know there are ways to automate the installing of all our favorite cabs, but I am not sure how to do it, or what the best way is. Could someone point me in the right direction? I was reading up on UC (user customization) and wasn't sure if that was the best way and if it is pretty much standard on all roms? I am using MighyRom right now but I wasn't sure if that is built in or not? Thanks,

Re: installing cabs after upgrading?
Easiest way imo? SASHIMI. Shove all your cabs into a single folder, and they all install automatically.

Re: installing cabs after upgrading?
i like writing the SDConfig file for UC :) but Shashimish should do you justice

Re: installing cabs after upgrading?
I also just use sdconfig..
Some one should sticky that... |
Re: installing cabs after upgrading?
+1 on UC
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337 That should get you started. Easy to do cabs in multiple locations, Supports copy and paste (great for just copying shortcuts), and you can add in registry edits (email settings and serial numbers). I don't know what else you could possibly need. May take you a couple days to get it how you like, but flashing roms has never been easier for me since I've perfected my UC. |

Thanks, I will check them out and see which one is going to work better for me. I appreciate it.

Re: installing cabs after upgrading?
I am interested in this myself. I tried sashimi but for some reason it looked like it installed every app twice...
and my only gripe with UC atm is I have no clue how to get it to install cabs to the storage card unless I manually edit default install path in the cab file itself. |
Re: installing cabs after upgrading?
i actually use both atm. i started with sashimi but i am slowly learning sdconfig. once i have it completly down i will probably go with that but both def. get the job done
