Nice to see someone working on a Cricket ROM. I was going to use it, but found it to be bloated with software that I never use and decided to make my own Cricket clean Titanium only ROM. Just wanted to say good job.

Depends on the files. If you're flashing a ROM, usually it is done on the PC through an ActiveSync connection. If it's a .CAB file, you can install from the device itself.

sorry boss, had net and device issues. wasnt able to post.

bellow is a simple cab. it will only set your registry to fix resize issues, set you device max send limit. i have not tested the cab, as i am using a broken cricket pro and my mobiler (along with a cab builder). if you use the recent rom from integra, this is a simple mms size fix for images received. try it, let me know if it works. it also sets up your server settings in pic/mms options. i dont know how it will act with other settings or cabs used to get cricket working. it is a change of regs on original rom in first post. if integra built the rom off drunks rom and used same regs, it should be fine.


it should be un-installable. dont be allarmed when your device resets on own after install

depends on many factors. if it is an install file, you would use active sync. if it is a rom, your device needs to be hoocked up to pc. rom install files can be extracted with winrar and you can take the singed.nbh file and rename to RAPHIMG, and put on sd card main root and flash thru bootloader. a cab is installed straight to phone from your phone or (best place) your sd card. program installes from you pc can be ran at any time. if your phone is synced to pc, it will install. if not, the install will set aside the install and auto install next time phone synced to pc.

i dont but get you set up. broke so have no net on pc, i can get you a ruu folder later today that will have pagepool for cricket. you will need to do the flash thru pc to get it, but it wont be a hard reset flash, but back up your stuff just in case. i have complete settings for cricket, but they go in kitchen. the flash will set you splash to show toucg pro when you first power up device, although you may already have that screen, i will set it up so that it shows that screen again and installs correct pagepool just to have an nbh file for flash to take. unless i can figue a cab for it. bank on a flash just in case.

I am, as of right now, using Integra's ROM, but I noticed that it came with a Page Pool Tool, and did not know if I needed to set that to something, or if was already set. i understand about your net connection, so anything that you can dig up for me is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

How are things working for everyone? I haven't heard back on if my cab helped, I noticed that there is an other cab at hofo for resizing images in mms but didn't see it before. Integra, you still there?

Still here. Haven't been on here in a while or messing with roms lately. Been running the newest SPB Mobile shell on top of my rom. I may try to make a new updated rom when I have time.
Have you gotten around to making your own rom jpwhre?

No I haven't, haven't spent much time with it. Played around with it, but not to keen on how it works as far as adding apps and packages to the kitchen, or what to take out or change. There also hasn't been any demand for any new roms. The tp is dieing and htc.com doesn't even have support for it anymore as of their revamped web site. At least for sprint. Only one they have is the VZ support. Right now i am running NRG 10-14-09 rom with spb 3.5 over it. I'm happy for now.

I was able to get MMS working finally with Integra's ROM. Thank you Integra, yours has been the most functional yet!

jp, I wanted to ask if you might be able to assist in my other friend's phone. We've been trying to get MMS to work on it for quite some time, (though not too much time spent since only a few sessions on trying to fix it)

He started Cricket with a ROM that I don't know of. He accidentally did the "Clear Storage" and wiped it clean. After that he lost his MMS when it restarted.

We've tried various cabs, tried the settings and ROMs I suggested in my post a while back... I also flashed Integra's ROM to his the last time I was there to try things.
I tried a different PRL, and we've eventually gotten the *228 to go through and he now shows EVDO.

While reading through here, I saw the suggestion to hard-reset twice the phone, and that made MMS to work....That unfortunately failed for him.

The ONLY thing that is missing is MMS. He can get online, but the incoming or outgoing pics will just sit at 0%... and he's ready to throw his phone in the lake...

Would you (or anyone) have some advice that might be able to get his MMS to work?

Hard reset the phone. Do this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...73&postcount=1 and then install http://www.noahswitzer.com/MMSFIX.CAB go to start/settings/connections/connections advanced and make sure your set to Cricket for both.

My friend is coming by after work to try these out.

I am curious though... That CRICKET WAP, MMS and Arcsoft 5_2_3_22.cab... is that the one that will kill the battery icon??

I'm only hesitant with all the cabs floating around, it's hard to keep track of which works in which situation...

Either way, We'll be following these steps in a couple hours, and I will give you an update.

It killed it for me, along with all other ryan mugal cabs, but others have reported otherwize. Also killed speaker icon. I went thru hell by finding my own way to get it to work by others on this group that I find it easier to just post their way weather it works or not than helping others out with what actually works. Since it is not a cab and done deal and it is too complicated for them to figure. Just try it out and see what happens.

he no longer supports this rom as he is no longer on the device. this thread and everything inside (except cabs) are for the touch pro (slide out keyboard) the cabs will work on the touch diamond (no slide out keyboard)

ok well im using the hardspl for raphael the .037 I have the mms and wap fix by ryan mogul and have the mms working perfectly but the wap is bugging out any suggestions. I will admit my security in my pst settings are mdn@mycricket.com pw cricket. when i tried a bogus one before as suggested it didnt wirk so I switched back and it worked. if I change any pst settings I will have to redo my mms install again to get it to work. im still on a sprint rom havent found a rom im cormfortable with and I cant figure out how to get energysrom off the link he has it so im kinda stuck.

Funny thing about ryans way of setting up pst is to change security to a bogus add, and change password, then dial *228, let it program (which it wont cuz you forced an evdo prl on) then put the security settings back to how they were to begin with before you did the useless effort. There are 3 cabs to getting you wap/mms to work. 1 removes arcsoft from your device, 1 puts cricket arcsoft on your device, and 1 fixes the size image. and if you use a sense rom, there is an other cab. Ryan did good with the cabs for arcsoft, but his pst settings suck. *228 only works completely if you have the correct 1x prl for your area, and then it sets your pst settings up for you. To change your security to bogis and then get *228 to actually go thru without hanging up on you is a waste of time. Since it will authenticate your device and set your security back to what it was before you changed it.

i had to change my security setting i just erase them soft reset and change them back to cricket because they kept reverting to alltell when soft resetting the phone. the phone was setup on cricket completely

first off, i have no rom. drunk made first one, and integra made the 2nd. going past that, did you do the msl code change? cricket only works with the code set to all zeros. click on my user name and send me a pm, or find my email (it's set to public i do believe) and i'll help you out.

So, I may be missing something, but how do I do this if I do not currently have a Cricket account?

So I'm switching from Sprint, and have a Sprint TP (and a Diamond). Since I don't have a current Cricket phone, I don't have a Cricket MSL. I'm not using the MSL from my TP on Sprint, am I?

I've currently got the TP running a custom ROM, and just need to know if there is anything different from the HOWTOs for activating a new line of service/porting a number versus replacing one of their phones.

I tried to set up my diamond on cricket, I was able to get a dial tone and send sms but never could get the data to work, but then found out that I'm too far from the preferred roaming area and I was going to always have roaming charges, but to make a long story short...

first cricket told me I had to purchase one of their phones to get an "account" and then I could switch to my phone, so I did, but what they didn't tell me was that they charge something like $15 to swap phones, after I argued with them and explained that when I first called, I had explained that I didn't need one of their phones and all, they finally agreed to setup an account without one of their phones

so what you need to do is get cricket on the phone, which is a pain, and tell them you would like an account so you can use your own number, you might have to ask for a supervisor once or twice until you get someone who will do it, but they can set up an account and give you a phone number without having to purchase one of their phones

hope this helps, I just wish my little town would get in the loop, 20 miles away is fine, just not here

anyone using a sense2.5 rom with cricket and mms working fine? i am but it doesnt work how it is supposed to. to send a pic i cant just take a pic and touch the send button its broken with arcsoft installed to have mms working. i have to open arcsoft then click new mms then insert a pic. cant touch the new message and have it open i have to open all messages then go to it. it works just not like it is supposed to i have to do work arounds like that.

does picture messaging work with it? i had a vz touch pro with energy rom, i liked that rom a lot, when you would slide out the keyboard, you wouldn't see that lame screen with eight unchangeable tabs

and the messaging was really smooth, all around, the rom was really smooth, i was able to change the tabs on the touchflo, cuz i never used the weather and i hated the favorites tab, it always called people in my pocket, that phone broke and i got a touch pro for sprint on cricket network. i'm running a custom rom cooked by a friend, but i don't like it so much, i can't customize the tabs on touchflo, when i choose a picture for the homescreen, it doesn't show up, it shows half the picture when i push the start button on the top left. and when i slide out the keyboard, i get that lame eight tabs, i hate that, and the messaging isn't so smooth. does anyone have any suggestions for a new rom? the ONLY thing i hated about energy rom was that when i sent a text, it would let me know it sent, i hated that.
