To anyone interested....
the great folks over at connect - UTB have fixed the color issue on the RAPH800 and now have a specific build for it.
Its still buggy and is super-jesus-beta but now you have something to throw in the face of every G1 toting doosher you know.

Haven't see any G1's here so this will be cool to see. TMobile's network is pretty non-existant here unless you are on the interstate. I've never seen anyone with their service around here.

No so much bugs as lack of functionality. If you want to see the interface, the colors, the menus, (if you're a true techie) then it cant hurt to download this since it just runs off your SD card.

Right now the main home screen works, and all the basic interfaces, but almost no hardware support for things like radio, camera, card, even battery status.


Still pretty damn neat though. It makes me happy to see the interface isn't ungodly smooth or clean, it is sluggish till everything is loaded into RAM just like good ol' WM6.

Yep, for CDMA touch pro, Cell radio and sound do not work. this means you are limited to what Android can do 'outof the box'.

There is an alternative however, This link, links to the "Android APK Pack". Its a bunch of Apk files that have been gathered to work on the phone.

Check it out for some giggles.

I am still unable to get Android to load on my Alltel Raph800... nothing seems to work.

the cell does not work yet on cdma (tested 5 days ago with the latest version)...by the way, i posted this about 4 days ago....see thread..and keeping up to date with new releases....

are you following the directions exactly? I noticed it will not boot correctly unless I run the haret.exe immediately following a soft-reset.

how far are you getting?

I pointed that out in the 2nd message but I guess PPCgeeks is beginning to relax its rules on reposting. No biggie. The Android progress is a good sign. Now if they can get the phone working... that would be HUGe.

my bad about the repost. didnt see it in TP CDMA and figured the info would be most relevant here since its specific to the RAPH800.

Are you getting a message like:
If so, I was able to get it working. It turns out some SDHC cards are factory formatted to use an extended partition, but the default is looking for the first partion.

To make it work, edit default.txt and modify the following options:
(I changed 1 to 5; yours may be different depending on what number you have in <p5>.)
