I like JD's kitchen. Thats the one I've been using. I just add some oems from other kitchens, mainly Conflippers.

I use Calkulin's kitchen. Just upgraded to v1.5.
My OEMs are quite old but proven stable. Combo of Calkulin's 20954, PPCKitchen & a few others.
I think the SYS files as well as the installed OEMs will contribute to the memory usage.

Mine will use 29% on first boot but normally at idle it's around 39-45%.

I use my moms kitchen, she has new counter tops, and new stove, works really well, and you dont really need that much memory to operate it.
